Wests Tigers star Robbie Farah dropped from NRL to reserve grade

Not sure if this has been commented on , but when they showed the team training in an article on fox sports news , Cherrington was there

Makes sense. He is back from injury.

The young blokes are a different generation away from blokes like farah & Rowdy
Brooks Teddy Moses etc were in primary school & the u/10s when farah won a comp, Woodsy u/15's or so.
Theyre a tight group…but a diff generation to Farah.

**We are almost full circle from 2005**

It wont take them all long at all to adapt and move on....
Some of us here however

This is what all the bedwetters do not see or want to believe the club FINALLY has a group that are leading and it has been a long time coming . The coach has found his voice and has the support required to make the hard decisions and not before time , Talylor has put the team and club first and will cop the disgusting verbal and written crap that is being directed at him ,this is what being a leader is …unfortunately the Weststigers have been leaderless for so long the supporters think the leaders are burnt out players demanding what ever they like .Finally the word leadership can be put in the same sentence as the Weststigers :sign:

I wish I could find the thread leading into the Storm game where someone said JT would never have a set big enough to drop RF

I had a good think about it last night, and this is my take on it. The club want Robbie and our imposter coach gone next year. They finally give the imposter the green light to not play Robbie, knowing its going to have a destabilising affect on the team. Also knowing that its so personal with the imposter coach that he will drop robbie, even though it will weaken the team as we dont have a recognised hooker (something great coaches like bellamy would never do). Farah is so pissed that he decides he wont stick around next year, and if we dont make semis the club has an out to get rid of the imposter coach. So its a double play by Pascoe and Oneil to get rid of both of them. I cAn cop that and im sure most of the farah supporters can, but how will you one eyed magpie supporters sleep at night when your imposter magpie coach is not here next year lol lol lol. :roll

Willow, can you please just punt this embarrassing man child.

Why?? Because he has an opinion that differs from yours??

Fair point in general.

Farah did help keep Teddy at the club though.

I wonder what he thinks deep down of Robbies treatment?

Woodsie is a good mate as well.

These things can have flow on effects.

I could be wrong here, but like i said i just have a few concerns.

There is a way to go about things. Im notagainst moving Farah on. However seeing him playout his career in reserves is pretty ordinary for mine considering he is playing well and the team has been winning.

I guess only time will tell. If we keep all our young stars and starting winning from here on in well ill praise taylor.

Your right on that one. However Bellemy or Bennett have won premierships.

What has Jason Taylor achieved as a coach to date? He had one decent year at Souths before taking them backwards and ending in embarrassment.

I find it amazing people have so much faith in a bloke that has done nothing to prove he is a good NRL coach to date? We have a decent squad this year, 3 origin players, ET, Grant, good young halves. Yet we are sitting behind the Dragons, a terrible side. Like he said he himself we have a good squad and we should be further up the ladder.

He said he would fix the defence and were averaging 25 points plus a a game against? Thats going backwards, not improving

He said the last 7 games proved were better without Farah which was factually wrong and bizarre. Start of the season he was right but the last y games Farah played 3/3 wins. So what the hell is he talking about here?

Anyway Ill give him one thing he has picked a smart week to make the move. The Dragons are going TERRIBLE. Our reserve grade could probably beat them the way they played the last 2 weeks. Win this week and the Farah stuff goes away. He has picked a good week to do it.

Doesn't matter what he has or hasn't done. He has the right as head coach to pick the team he wants.
He never wanted Farah from day one but rode with it for the sake of the club hoping robbie would adhere to his game plan.
We have the futures of the young guys to worry about, not yesterday's hero for nostalgic reasons.

Of course he has the right to pick the team he wants. And we have the right to judge him on his results. So I am interested in how the rest of the season pans out.

You have faith that call the young guys will stick around and florish under JT.

Im not saying this wont happen, but i would by lying if i said i didn't have doubts. Morale within the group is crucial. We need guys like Woods, Teddy, Moses and Brooks to want to be at this club long term. Do they see a bright future under Taylor? Maybe they do, I hope so, but like i said i have doubts.

Eddie I know what your saying, but most of the players when interviewed lately have been very supportive of Taylor and in TT,s latest post he talked about Teddy and Taylor having a close bond. Okay this could all be spin, but i get the feeling the majority of the squad are behind Taylor…maybe not on
this call, but the dust settles very quickly. One thing for sure Taylor needs a good win,a happy team is a winning team and it will all go pear shape in a flash if we loose to a team like the Dragons who are on struggle street

You might be right coach.

I still think though some like Woods and Tesesco cant be that pleased by the treatment of Farah. To dump a player when he is playing well is poor treatment for mine. Especially when he is talking about the last 7 games where Farah is 3/3 wins.

Like I said I hope Robbie can find a new club for next year. Be best for all concerned,

However Farah has been playing well lately and the team has been winning . Does he deserve to be dropped to reserves? I Done think so and i dont think the majority of the squad would think so.

But like people said Taylor is the coach he deserves the right to make the call. For the last 7 weeks its how they perform in that how Taylor will be judged. If they lose more then win well its bye bye Jason for mine.

As a first grade coach, I am sure it's well within his jurisdiction to instruct the reserve grade coach what he wants to see from a player to show whether he's good enough to be back into first grade.

They would all know just how much politics plays a part in this game, they wouldnt only be learning about it now.
Politics in RL stats in the u/6s unfortunatley.
The young blokes have to grow up and learn that life always isnt rosy

Cant disagree with you in the main though. We always seem to have to be doing things the hard way, it is a shame if he finishes here in reggies…...it isnt the way to building a succesful winning culture

Oh ok I see… So when JT doesn't have full control over what happens with his side we all jump up and down but when it's the other way around we put a different spin on it. Love your hypocrisy

First grade will always take priority over the lower grades. Sounds like you're just arguing for the sake of it.

Lets not keep talking spin.

Taylor should just say to Robbie, mate it doesnt matter what you do your not returning.

Farah has played the style of football Taylor wants for the last month.

He took his medicine went back to the bench and played well. Gave early ball to the halves.

Farahs last 2 games

SOuths 30-14 win
Penrith 34-26 win (came on down 14-2)

There is no return for Farah from here in 2016, lets be real here.

Not at all arguing for the sake of it, just pointing out that Paul Stringer is Farahs coach this week so it should be him giving the instructions of how he wants him to play not JT. Gee I think JT has a hard enough time trying to implement a game plan for one team let alone two.

Not if we keep winning.

And the score was 8-2 when he came on against the Panthers.
