Wests Tigers team (official list page 4)

Moltzen at #7 is pleasing. I also think he'll be there for round 1 with Marshall at five-eighth.

But our backline is very, very average without Tuqiri and Tuiaki and we will struggle until they return. The likes of Brown, Ryan and Fitzhenry are average to mediocre players at best.

But why Fitzhenry on the wing? Why not Davis or another youngster? It's a trial. We all know how Fitzhenry goes on the wing and it's not very good.

hmmm atleast Moltz is back at halfback. I thought Taumata may have gotten the five eighth spot whilst Benji is out. Brown could go ok at fullback but I worry a bit how he will go under the high ball. I guess we will have to wait and see. Fitzy - well he will start on the wing but maybe when Daniella comes on it will be on Fitzy's wing and Fitzy will move to hooker and Robbie will go off. That's if Sheens doesn't want Farah to play for the full trial. Pretty good forward pack, and Mataka, Moors and Cayless on the bench is good. C'mon Wests!!!

i can't believe he's picked Fitzhenry on the wing, what is this obsession with Sheens and Fitzhenry.

And i can't believe Arana can't get a run with that backline, it's avarage, and Daniala is on the bench - go figure.

ahh the sheens ego.
it really is unbelievable.
He would be a very good coach if you removed all selection duties from his job description.

We've got one of the best natural talents i've seen in years in young Mullhaney…..........

So we recruit a Cronulla reject and play him.

Brown is a very poor footballer. Timid.

Fitzy on the wing..............they said they bought him solely as a back up hooker. What's the bet he plays every freaking game until TNT comes back.

I can sense a lot of frusstration coming. Brown and Fitzy = Sheens at his best.

Brown is a solid fulback who knows how to play that position but i agree he dosn't exite me much either
Ryan came into form at the back end of last season & will be there round 1 100% but i admit i was probably his biggest critic last year but still he should be given first crack in the absence of TNT
Fitzhenry on the other hand is laughable. Pritchard is a big lad as is Davis & they should feel unlucky not to get a run

This team is a disgrace..
Not a fan of Mitch Brown at fullback but I can live with it,
however no Arana and FITZHENRY ON THE WING!.. that'l do me.
God forbid Benji gets injured before Tuqiri comes back and that is our team.
Sharks are goin to smash us this week for sure.

Good to see Lui and Moltzen in the halves! Definitely going to go now!

The Fitzy decision is a joke as others have said. A big slap in the face to the young outside backs at the club. You are basically saying none of them are good enough to play first grade this year.

The rest of the side is fine based on our current personnel and given that this is a trial. I wouldnt like to see a non-utility back like Daniella on the bench in the season proper but for a trial that is fine.

The criticism of the Brown selection seems bizarre given that half of the forum was calling for him to be played at fullback last week.

I see no reason to rush Jake into first grade given his slight frame and age. I wouldnt like to see his confidence destroyed like McDonnells was.

Sharks are absolutely terrible fellas. Even with that team, we'll lap them.

Which means…................those same blokes will be in our NRL side to start the season.

Brown.........Fitzy.........Ryan.........our back three. Des Hasler is out there somewhere right now doing hand stands.

I just like the fact sheens is playing moltzen at halfback.
All the criticism on Fitzhenry is a bit tough.
I'm the first to admit I have never been a fan and
I think someone like pritchard should have been given a run
but Fitzhenry isn't the worst winger going round.

tiger sean, if Fitzy isn;t the worst winger going round who is?

Also 'going round' is very apt for him. round and round and round and round in circles

whilst we may not agree with some team selections.
gonna wait and see how they team actually performs, then make judgement.
there maybe a reason for giving younger blokes ago, that we are not privy too

    This place cracks me up…....

Just about EVERYONE wanted Moltzen at 7......Sheens delivers...but puts Fitzy on the wing.....so once again the nails are in the coffin.............

I actually feel a little for Fitzy.....

Cause it's there for All to see....Round 1 6\. Benji 7\. Moltzen..........2\. Tuqiri,,,,,,,,

Fitzy>>>>>>>>>>>>>State Cup........

Anyhow........carry on......... :arrow_right: :arrow_right: :arrow_right:

I don't mind Fitzy in…..............facts are facts and he's a GF winning winger. That will always guarantee I won't knock him too much.

But you blokes are in for a dissapointment with Mitch Brown. He's had a few years to toughen up and he's just not a mentally strong player and is very passive. Mullhaney should have been given a chance. It's a dissapointing day when a Cronulla reject gets first shot at things above our under 20s GF player / one of the best under 20s players / a guy even rival coaches raved about last year.

Two selections I don't agree with are Fitzy on the wing and Daniela on the bench. One thing I will give Fitzy over Daniela though is that he is a better defender, although not as quick. Would liked to have seen Rhys Pritchard given a run on the wing, he's trained hard all summer and has arguably better trial form than Fitzy and Daniela.

No dramas with the forwards with Payten still on the sidelines…and Moltzen at 7 and Lui at 6 will be interesting. Lui has to take the line on in this match if he's going to start in FG. Taumata will be breathing right down his neck if he has another quiet one here IMO.

He is better than Shannon McDonnell. More experienced and slightly better at running in circles
lets face it Fitzhenry has scored 40 something tries including one in a grand final. Many wingers will never score that many tries.
😱pen_mouth: Wait what am I doing Im actually defending Fitzhenry, To be honest I never thought this day would come.
