I'm concerned now with Talau in. Jet admittedly hasn't set the world on fire, but Talau provides a guaranteed minimum of 3 dumb turnovers a game.

I reckon he offers more of an attacking threat than Roberts though. Tommy knows how to score a try despite his errors and average defender

Only when he falls over the line. A rediculous backline. That's why we are where we are. The backline is hopless,

He runs really nice lines and can get past a defender to score a try from close or set someone else up if he's a bit further out (he's too slow to score a long distance try)

This is a big moment for Talau. An opportunity to cement a spot. Take it with both hands buddy.

happy to go on record Talau will not make it at wests tigers, we need better he can't defend and is slow as a centre

the speed exponentially magnify the scoreboard. when players can control the speed of the game they slow down the rate of tries being scored. when the refs control the speed of the game tries are let loose

What a farce this comp is - if we jag a win we are only 2 points behind the 8th placed team.

You telling me there's a chance...

Of course - if we beat Brisbane we only have to win 6 out of the next 7 games and turn our F&A around by 170 points and we are in. I don't really see a problem.

I remember the day Benji Marshall said our most exciting future prospect was Tommy Talau.

Since then I have seen a player have numerous opportunities in first grade of which i can not remember a single good game. imo he is plodder of monumental proportions with oven mitt's for hands.

I wish him luck but expecting zero!

Tommy just needs to dip his hands in loctite super glue before the game.

COVID brush, Roberts' NRL future in doubt
Scott Bailey 17 hrs ago

James Roberts' immediate future is clouded after it was revealed the Wests Tigers centre was left behind in Sydney after visiting a COVID-19 exposure site.

Roberts will miss Sunday's clash with Brisbane while he remains in a COVID hold, while unable to join the team for at least another four days. The 28-year-old did not breach the NRL's bubble when he was at the same venue as a known case while shopping for essential services.

Has he since returned a negative test, but the drama couldn't have come at a worse time for the off-contract speedster. He is now at the mercy of the Queensland government, which is yet to allow families and other players into the state on the second load of flights.

Even when and if Roberts can fly into Brisbane, there is also a chance he could struggle to enter the Tigers' bubble. It's believed the club already have the maximum 41 people in the bubble, meaning they would either need to release one person or seek an exemption from the NRL to add him.

The former NSW State of Origin centre appears unlikely to be at the club next year, with an option in the Tigers' favour for 2022 not yet taken up.

Things like this show why the punishment handed out to the Dragons players were a joke.
