Hearing Talau will start at 6 Mbye to the bench as a utility.

Maybe named at 14 to avoid media attention

So if mbye pulls out with his hammy do we think madden will get thrown in and keep talau on the bench? We will have no cover for liddle of he burns out which could be a problem. What's everyone's thoughts?

Was thinking the same.

Talau at 14 and Packer are bizarre inclusions.

Can't understand why Simpkin would be left out.

It's not final till 1 hour before kick off

I wouldn't be surprised if Kepaoa keeps his wing spot. I thought he looked markedly improved against Manly.

Simpkin not named on extended bench

He's got the talent, just needs to get the little things right. Think he could have a really good year especially if Joey plays well, he's big fast and powerful

If joey finds form Kepoa will score plenty of tries this year

Madden is only young, but can tackle, unless Moses has changed his attitude, i see a weakness.

Add to that Luciano on that side and the kid will score a heap

So do u think madden could slot into hooker if mbye pulled out due to his hamstring? That's my only real concern is if he doesn't play we have no replacement if liddle struggles during the game, not that i think having mbye is an ideal replacement but it's better then having none I guess

Close to the best side we could name. Like last year I am massively concerned by the bench selections. Very one dimensional with all the middle forwards.

Time will tell whether selectors are living in 2014 or rotating the middle to manage the speed of the game.

Need to surprise the opposition, give the ball to the decoy king

Good team to kick off the season considering the player issues .
Trying not to get ahead of the game here !

Player issues...?

injuries and suspensions?

No real surprises with that team IMO. Packer's experience gets him a run since Musgrove is suspended. Yeah, I'll be stunned if he makes more than 30 metres in attack but young Tuki will be a work in development and it seems the club is content to keep Tuilagi on his development contract for now.

I think Stefano will help. He's showed slick ball playing which will give the opponent a different look. Hopefully Packer is only on for about 30 mins Max lol. It helps that Luc and Garner can play 80 as it gives us more rotations for our middle forwards

He'll definitely help. A fit and injury-free Mikaele will surprise a few people too.

He's got some real nice footwork and offload and can be lethal with those at his best. Packer is the only guy who doesn't offer much besides running straight at the opposition haha
