I saw some highlights from last year and I was surprised by Talau's speed, footwork, strength and finishing ability on the wing. He looked more natural compared to Kepaoa to me. But definitely faster than Talau.

I think Madge will persist with Kepaoa on the wing for at least 2 months though and hope he can make it his own.

Well Talau did play at 5/8 in both of the recent trials, some on here said he didn't, but he definitely did.

It's most likely he'll come on at 5/8 with Mbye to hooker. Not a fan of that but it's only one week.

Obviously they want to see how Liddle goes at hooker and for Simpkin to get 80 mins in NSW Cup rather than 20 in NRL.

Can't understand why Simpkin would be left out.

Mbye will shift to hooker if Liddle needs a breather
Talau will move to 5/8
And Packman provides experience or a coat hanger (if required)

I think I probably would have preferred to have Simpkin give Liddle a breather and Mbye stay at 6 the whole game. But i'm not at training every day so what the hell would I know.

Disenchanted? Hes 19 years old. Hel be fine. Mbye can cover 9 so Talau is a better choice on the bench.

I'm a big fan of Simpkin. I think he's going to be something special and I think he's already good enough for NRL.

I guess the lineup is pretty close to expected. Packer has been shown some confidence from Madge, hope he has a blinder this season.

But with Douehi, blore and musgrove out can understand how he has come

Will be interesting to see in the future mbye/simpkin/talau who will be playing that bench role.
Fingers crossed we have that issue in a few weeks which means we have had no or little injuries.
