Wests Tigers Team v Canterbury Rd 14..

true tony he was better than Hoffman, the only thing i give Asu is it was a debut but he did drop balls like jennings did no different.
Some on here defend certain players and not others, to me all three had shocking games wouldnt pick any at the moment. Looks like Madge has seen it the same way he probably expected more from all three

spud you can compare them they are still performances. When he came back in the team jennings scored a try and did his hammy. Yes it was a terrible game from jennings but not any worse than the two debutants really.

Jennings in that gold coast game played as bad as Asu in his debut yet Asu gets a leave pass for another game...
Some on here should be reasonable Asu had a shocker and so did Hoffman and so did Jennings.
Neither of them should get a run all three at the moment are not good.
Put Talau back on the wing is the right move at the moment

As I told you last time, one of those kids is 18, playing a good season or two before he was ready. If you think he deserves to be judged on that the same way a player like Jennings is judged then you have no idea.

I am not saying pick Jennings good grief thankfully Madge has more idea than you GNR4LIFE and hasnt picked Hoffman Asu or Jennings.
Last week it was if you are old enough you are good enough... Asu puts in a shocker and it is oh ok lets give him a leave pass as it is his first game. Jennings would not have played any worse than that.
Look at lawrence debut etc some have good games and put in good performances Asu's was not.

The season is not over, Bronco's could be banned, Warriors could decide to go home, another 50 injuries could happen and we could Steven Bradbury our way into the finals.

You still have try and win every game.

Do you realise you are putting Jennings in the same category as two kids on debut and somehow trying to talk that up as a positive? Cos it isn’t. No one knows how AJ and Hoffman will turn out but at this stage, their ceilings are higher than the slug.

No just trying to point out that he gets smashed on here and others drop the ball or have a shocker and that seems suported or ok.
wouldnt call him a slug GNR4LIFE as he has played about 80 first grade games more than you and me.
As far as ceiling goes who knows Hoffman and Asu might never be seen again pending who we end up with next year you dont know at least Jennings played semis etc.
Happy to support him not being there for 2021 just think he gets singled out on here and others get a free ride

Both teams below us unfortunately

Mate, he gets singled out cos he’s an average player. If Hoffman and AJ rack up games and don’t show much, they will get singled out as well. For now though they have leeway to find their feet.

Yes of course you try and win every game.

But the season is over.
We had our chance these last 2 weeks and dished up absolute garbage on both occasions. Bring on 2021!

Our draw is very hard and I doubt we make finals but I remember last year with about 6 or 7 games left everyone said season over and it went down to the last game. Still a chance but it will be incredibly tough

This is a very unusual season, anything can happen. Bronco's and Warriors being out does not help us but are examples of what can happen

Just a whinge: A lot of editing is required to make quotes readable

The difference Jedi is that Jennings regularly has shockers, even when the team as a whole plays pretty well and he is an 80 game player. Heck, he has very nearly even lost us a couple of games through his school boy errors, even when we’ve had the ascendency.

Asu in his debut with a brand new club was on the end of a backline that had probably its worst performance of the season, maybe even two seasons. I still can’t logically compare them. As GNR said if Asu and Hoffman are still playing poorly after a season of NRL under their belts then don’t worry they will cop the same treatment as Jennings has from plenty on here.

Let’s be serious .... doesn’t matter how bad the rest of backline performed he dropped EVERYTHING they threw at him.
Yes , hopefully a one - off ... doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

No one is saying it didn't happen.

Comparing an 80 gamer to two 1 gamers (one who is 18) is ludicrous.

He's fine... just outta position.

not comparing the player comparing the performance !
if it was john smith had played 20 or 30 games who cares, jennings dropped about 5 bombs against titans and was hammered on here Asu drops a few and oh its ok give him time he will be good. Hope he is good in the future by the way.
As cktiger said just judging he dropped bombs just like jennings did
fact is some on here hate jennings no matter what happens

seen a trial at the start of the year v panthers couple young kids were playing in it probably didn’t have the greatest of games people on here bagged the he’ll out of them weren’t willing to give them another go but asu played very ordinary but want to give him another go why is that
