Every time we play them we also struggle to score points, scoring 16, 8 and 4 in the last 3 matches. I think we’ve tried to out grind them, but may need a more expansive game to win this time.

The next number in that equation is 2
I am happy with that as long as they don't score more than 1
My tip
Tigers 2
Bulldogs 1

Wests Tigers Head Coach Michael Maguire says his side are ready to deliver another strong performance on Sunday night against the Bulldogs after a positive week of training.

While happy with their free-flowing attack last week and the right result over North Queensland, Maguire was quick to highlight that his side had plenty to work on throughout the week in their bid for back-to-back victories.

“They’ve had a good week of training," Maguire enthused after the final training session on Saturday.

"We want to back up what we did in the first half last week.

“We have a lot to work on — we have been head down all week working on things we need to improve on because we know we’re in for an 80-minute performance tomorrow.

“I always talk about the belief that I have in this playing group but it’s about doing that consistently now.”

Getting ready for the Bulldogs!

d.

“That’s the whole reason why we play the game. We work extremely hard for a special day, but it all happens on what you do now, and we’ve got to do that to create those opportunities.

“You get the rewards off the hard work and I’m proud of this group and the way they work. It’s making sure we do that in the most important part of the week and that’s the 80 minutes when we run out on the field on the weekend.

Maguire also said he had no problems with playing games at Bankwest Stadium, following two season-ending injuries suffered by the Sydney Roosters last night.

Wests Tigers will play an away game at the venue tomorrow night before running out in a home fixture the following weekend, but Maguire said there was no cause for concern about the impact of the surface.

“I heard this morning that the ground has been looked at and it’s all ok,” he said.

“It’s play on. Unfortunately, in our game you have players go through those sorts of things but for us it’s about what we want to do on the field.

"If the boys prepare themselves enough then you make sure you’re in your best shape when you get out there on the field.”

Man this win is so important. Would get us a win ahead of 9th position and considering we are playing against a strong team next week we will need it. Very likely cowboys lose tonight as well putting us even clearer from the teams below us.

Just reeks of a bulldogs win. I’m not a betting man but I might throw some money on dogs 1-12 ?

If you think about last year in Round 3 where we had won our 1st 2 games and were red hot favorites to beat the dogs and lost, then later in the year in a must win game we lost again to the dogs.
There a bogey team for us just like we are with the cowboys that's why we all are nervous about this game.
I am usually pessimistic when it comes to these games but i have a positive feeling with the Team's new resolve and X factor of Harry grant wanting to win that the team will win in a close one, i think the Tigers know how crucial this year in a shortened season how critical it is to be in the 8 than out of it.

Panthers the following week and on there form that should be difficult but not impossible. Good to see Souths lost last night if they did not score that last try we would have been in the 8 now....

Well hope you put a multi on Cowboys / Bulldogs lol
It shows if a Team is 5/10% off and does not turn up and other Team is 5/10% up with a solid start an upset can occur, makes our Win against the cowboys last week more special, bring on the big dogs today and lets put them on there lead and tie them to the goalposts. Go Tigers lets get into the Top 8 with a win.

I have a dream that my little children will one day not have to listen to a WT coach or player talk about turning up, but that it will be a given, the least expected... Yes i feel like Martin Luther King Jr right now, but are we the only club that always talks like this? I can't remember Madge talking like that at souths.... not that i would have read what he said at souths.

We have to attack them on the edges Holland, Wakeham, Averillo, Mariner are suspect defensively. If we play a power game through the middle and conservative they hold down and wrestle more than the Storm. They will niggle us out of the game.

Yeah their edges are their weak points, last week we gave our centres early ball we need to do it again

We are playing the team currently last, no excuses time for results

Yep totally agree if we lose today it means that we have learned nothing since our loss to the Titans. I am confident that we will WIN today and that's the interesting thing with our team currently as supporters we are always 50/50 about what the result will be.
Teams will need 10 wins to make the 8 this year.
Eight will come down to - Tigers/Rabbits/Cowboys and if the sharks lose today if will make any team with a 2/5 record virtually impossible to recover.

Coaches everywhere

Slightly o/t... Where the hell the Sunday footy show?

On at 1pm today

My confidence is super low for this game, I'm preparing for disappointment.

Dogs games are always so goddamn boring too, we better come out with an attitude to attack and not get dragged into an arm wrestle or it will be a long boring night of disappointment.

Def a 50/50 game.

IF our pack holds its own, we should win.

But Huth...ET...McIntrye...Clark...........all together. With all respect, we lost state cup games last year with those four together.

Clark, in particular, is going to have to step up.

40 meters and no bending the line = we will likely lose the battle of the ruck.

A lot rests on him matching the Dogs props today.

Time to show you belong young fella.

We need to shut down Kerrod Holland 😂. Hate that we make players like him look soooo good when we play them.
I just hope ET, Clark and Eisenhuth can step up. Aloiai has been phenomenal for us.

Also keen to see how young Talau goes.

TBH we shouldnt worry about the ref

we gotta worry about the playing surface lol

Hopefully no injuries for us 😛ray:

If we worry about the playing surface we lose our real focus and....

Wests Tigers will line up as per program with no changes to the side originally named during the week.
