Wests Tigers Team v Cowboys

Happy to see Dwyer get a run, but we are persisting with Beau Ryan STILL? Come on Tim, enough please!!! :frowning:

Dissappointed KG isn't back, he would have been VERY handy against the Cowboys pack :frowning:

Don't know why Tim said he would be definately back during his Souths press conference, just gets fans' hopes up for nothing.

Going to be a great game this one, cant wait to get there, anyone know how the ticket sales are going?

Just watched WTV to get Sheens take on the side this week. Excited to be giving Dwyer his chance. The club has big wraps on him and Sheens said he reminds him of a young Gareth Ellis with a good right hand fend, good speed and good strength. Also mentioned Schirnack and said he has been a late developer and has had to work his way through the lower grades and spend a bit of time playing for BRET before he was deemed ready for FG. Mentioned his younger brother in the 20's and reckons both players will play alongside each other in FG one day.

No mention whatsoever of Collis, Galloway or Laurie. Cuzzo didn't ask so Tim didn't say.

And finally he mentioned that Sunday is a must-win game of course.

Just glad halatua isnt there.possibly a sign he won be around next year?

Halatau is out with a knee injury for the next 6-8 weeks so it may be the last we see of him. Galea is also in the same boat, Sheens mentioned that he hopes that Danny performs well for the next 8 weeks, which to me indicates he may not be in the Tigers plans for next season given he's off contract.

Damn, thats right, I _did_ read he was out last week. A bit much expecting him to be dropped. At least he cant hit a bit of form to 'win' another contract.

Dwyer and Schirnack getting there chances. One of them will only get 20 obviously, so the other gets a great shot.

Sheens hasn't played Lauire in games like this before. Afraid of his defence, although I think Laurie has been great since the Storm game. He gets a chance to get some game time for the Maggies.

I remember when Ryan was battling to break into the side, was playing well and a lot of people on the old forum including myself were calling for his regular inclusion.

Now? You can't get him out!

Welcome the new Fitzy…

:smiling_imp:

would not be suprised to see both Corey Payne & Danny Galea in the 17 for remainder of season.
so far it would appear they are both not going to be at wests-tigers next season, so I suggest they are being played to get value for the money they are paid.
I maybe wrong about this…. :sunglasses:

No Galloway is a blow, but who knows, perhaps a late inclusion?? Happy with the side named though. It's all about attitude and application. Did it well against the bunnies but we'll need to do it well once more against Thurston and Bowen.

Big Keith was due Round 15, it is Round 19 now.

Round 21 apparently :frowning:

It is amazing that he was sent straight back out on the field in that Souths game when he was first injured. He must have been in serious discomfort for that couple of mins when he tried to run. Hope he gets back very very soon.

If Dwyer is a better player than Akeripa and Gower than he must be pretty damm good.

IMO No.

It is easy to look good when playing against boys.

Hope he plays well though but he is not better than Mataka, Gower or Akeripa.

Problem is with the way the clubs are structured now it is all about Toyota Cup players as the next generation because they train fulltime next to the NRL squad and are familiar with routines.

Sheens saying Schirnack has only just come up to it is BS as well. He has been better than Gibbs for the last two seasons and has not been given a run.

Anyway I hope Dwyer goes well. Better still would be Galloway
