WESTS Tigers Team V Dogs

Elijah Taylor will obviously play but who he comes in for I have no idea…Everyone is calling for Halatau and it's probably the right decision but can you really see JT dropping a Vice Captain?

Would like to see Taylor in for Siro but I'm sure hell will freeze over before Siro is dropped.

Really surprised that Hunt is in #1 ahead of Rankin. Will watch him with interest!

And also hope that Taylor subs Dene on the bench…

I don't think Elijah is a certainty to play. When was his last game in 1st grade at Penrith? That being said you would think that if match fitness was an issue he would be named for reserve grade.
Hope he plays, he will bring a lot to our team.

Good side. Handy having Lawerence. We can name him starting at 2nd Row, then switch into the backs to cover for injury. Then name four forwards on the bench.

Elijah only turned up yesterday and that would have been admin so would have had mayby 1 or 2 sessions with the team. Given that it might be hard to name him today. However listening to JT's preview of the game on the website it sounds like Elijah will play this weekend. I would say some of the players named in Woods especially are in doubt so they don't want to make the call until they have to

I wonder if Woods being named is just a bit of gamesmanship, with maybe Sue going to starting prop and ET to lock. Alternatively i think Halatau offers more than Lovett if woods plays id rather see him drop out.

Rankin and Hunt to swap around during the game….

Lol did anyone see Elijah Taylor's body language in the team announcement..

You are thinking about it too hard. He will look like that every week from now on.

Elijah Taylor has been away in camp with NSW residents, so yesterday would have been his first day at Concord. He's had enough time to find his locker, film some surly looking video for the team announcement and maybe get one session in with firsts, since yesterday would have been a recovery and physio day for those who played this weekend.

Obviously everyone, JT included, wants to see Elijah in firsts pronto but he's got a very quick turnaround to learn his role in our defence, get a feel for what our halves need from him in attack and basically condense into 5 days what the rest of the squad have been doing through preseason.

ET is 18th man and will ideally play, but he's got a pretty full week of fitness tests, combinations with other players, whiteboard sessions and a video marathon before he's signed off. He was never just going to pull into the driveway and be handed the number 13 jersey.

I specifically watched the vid after reading this comment. I never do usually.
I noticed nothing unusual really….I did notice they all did the same move, juggle the ball - edit - then look upwards

good stuff - pretty obvious hes not gonna walk into our starting lineup with a training session or two

if he pulls up well physically and the coaching staff are happy with how he's adapting then he'll probably play off the bench. maybe replacing halatau or lovett

all in all, a solid team this week. just missing tedesco at fullback which is disappointing

😛ray: 😛ray: 😛ray: 😛ray: come back soon

It's a personality thing with those screenshots. Most noticeable between with Moses and Brooks who proceed each other. First you got Moses, twiddling the ball with one finger, and slight look of arrogance in his eyes. Then it goes on to Brooks who looks about as comfortable in front of the camera as a cow in a slaughter house.

ET comes across as the quiet type. Looked no different than he did in his PR shots on the day he signed.

Kudos to JT for selecting Hunt at fullback, I said you wouldn't, I was wrong, but surely ET has to be in for Halatau.

"He's desperate to be back in first-grade, which is where he belongs, and we'll look to get him in as soon as he gets settled…" – JT on Elijah Taylor

Yes juggling the balls concerned me too…we need far better ball security...

I think the team will change with Taylor finding his way into the 17...

Good luck to Justin Hunt. Say what you want about him, he's earned his spot through good, consistent performances at the level below - all you can ever ask of a player on the fringes.

Can not see Taylor dropping Deano, he is insurance if Farah gets hurt. I would think if anyone was going to get left off the bench it would be the young kid Josh A.
