Don't be late, or you'll miss his 5 minutes. Lol

That's poor mate.

I hope Ballin has a great game, will be great to see him on the field again after his injury troubles. We all know why he was brought here but he's entitled to see out his career the way he wants.

It was a joke Joice. Hence the lol.
I want him fit too. We need some value from our money
Dunno why some are so precious over an ex sea eagle who's seen most of his time here from outside the playing area.

I figured you were joking, just didn't find it funny.

I wouldn't say I'm precious about him, I think he can add value. If we're to salvage anything from the year I think Ballin will go a long way to making it happen. He's been hideously unlucky with injuries.

That last phrase is exactly whyI have major major problems with buy ing him
Just not sure why you think he's untouchable , especially what some of our actual players have had said about them already this week.

I cant for the life of me understand the support given to Ballin. Happy to credit him when and if he actually does something, but he seems to have a free pass with some.
My view is he is no more entitled to anything at this club until he actually contributes something. Lets hope that happens soon.

He has support because he's a always been a competitor and has always conducted himself well on and off the field, even in the face of being screwed over by his former club. Some of us respect him for that and don't feel the need to slag him off for things have happened that are beyond his control (injuries) or the circumstances in which he came here (which was incidentally another situation he handled with dignity). Not sure what've you mean by people thinking he's entitled to anything or gets a free pass…

I'm prepared to accept what you say without an answer for this week, Nelson, as I know you must be suffering without JT and his crook coaching.

When he's fit and not putting in on the pitch, I'll line up to put the toe into him

We need to get rid of Joel Edwards, great tackler but doesn't make any impact when hitting the ball up. I would love to see JJ or tatola get a run.

If Edwards was doing his usual great tackling last week what on earth were the rest of our team doing? This is not a criticism of Edwards at all. It is a criticism of the rest of our teams terrible defence over the last two weekends.

Yeah good luck finding all those posts where I supported him as a good coach as opposed to supporting the principle of stability.

I'm fine with them having gotten rid of him and I think the timing was probably pretty sensible. There was no point waiting around - if they'd waited longer the team could have jagged a few wins and it would've looked harsh sacking the coach if we were mid table. Those couple of bad losses gave them the trigger and they acted decisively. Fine with me.

Never suggested slagging him off and never would - I am looking at him purely as a contracted player in our top 25 and to this point he has given us no service and it seems there are plenty who dont have a problem with that.
For a club with massive depth issues yes I do think he gets a free pass on here by many.

Some realise that injuries are part and parcel of the game and can't be helped…. You're carrying on as if he's injured himself on purpose

Fair to say the whole team is on notice this week. Will be interesting to see what sort of effort they put in.

Actually tempted to throw a sneaky lobster on us H2H.

i honestly believe we are in with a shot.We usually go ok against storm at LO.I am expecting a massive improvement from the team.I wouldnt feel anywhere near as confident against the roosters or parra

We bought him injured when we didnt need him lets be honest. Now when we need players on the field, get a bit over listening to how great he has been off the field - how on earth people know that without being amongst is equally perplexing because it doesnt seem like there is a lot of good happening there atm.
I hope he makes a difference because we need him to and to date he owes us more than we owe him - and I wish him the very best of luck.

Look we need as much experience out on the park as possible, so I am looking forward to see how Matt goes. A level head out there would be just the ticket I believe. Especially our 10 minutes before and after h/t.

Does he really owe us that much? I am of the understanding Manly are paying most of his contract even still, Ballin is a very cheap pickup for us.

I find that hard to believe considering he signed a 2 year contract with Manly before Barrett was hired and released him to us.

Without going into detail i got this from a contact i had at Manly when JT signed him. unfortunately he told me also that Manly believed his career was over i still hope that part was wrong because we need him badly.

Assuming you are right, what's the issue? He spent the majority of last year on the sideline on Manly's dime. If he comes back this week and stays on the field, we'll be getting value for our money.
