WESTS Tigers Team V Parramatta

Anyone know how a desperate Parra went last week after being pumped by 50 the week before..surely they won yeah…?

They played a helluva lot better and didn't go down by much to one of the top teams.

We need to win this.
Don't want two Ls consecutive in our win/loss column.
Our kicking game needs to be better than Parra, hope Marshall plays

Yeah we do. All we've done up to this point will mean nothing if we don't beat these pretenders today. Every game is important of course, but that loss, (which shouldn't have been) has made winning this game even more vital for us, imo and I'm a little concerned about Parra's desperation for a win.

It's not a good time to be playing them, they can play some good attacking football when they put it together and I honestly think they will be a better side without Hayne. Plus it's gonna be bloody hot out there today, so I hope our defensive efforts of recent weeks can hold up. I'm quite nervous about this one.

The first 25 minutes will be vital I reckon. They will come out firing because they are desperate. But if we offer them a brick wall in defence and a couple of their attacking raids amount to nothing they will start to doubt because 0-3 does nothing for your confidence. Also, the second Moses realises its going to be a tough game he will go missing.
If we nullify their efforts early we will win. If they get off to a good start and confidence builds, we could be in trouble

Nofa into ISP meaning Tui to fullback, Thompson to wing.

In Ivan I trust, In Ivan I trust BUT would prefer to see Nofa on wing, MWZ to centre and Kev to ISP. Again, In Ivan I trust!!!!

Yeah I am assuming that. If they are an unhappy camp they may be terrible. But I tend to think they’re unhappy because of Hayne (just what I’ve read) and he’s not there. Also, they have to have a crack today because 0-4 is pretty grim. But you’re right, I’m just assuming.

We need Tui for attack spark and goal kicking more than we need Nofo's hitups.

I couldn't seriously drop Thommo or MWZ on the first 3 rounds. A fit Liddle is also a terrific plus.

And next week or two when Reynolds is available?

Canberra were down by 20 at one stage the other night, and they were 0-3 too. Sometimes sides are winless for a reason. I’m just tired of everyone being scared of their own shadow in regards to today’s game. Who cares if Parra are desperate, we aren’t chopped liver.

Not sure why you’d be upset with people giving their opinion on an open forum? No we’re not chopped liver - I expect us to play well but I think Parra will come out fired up. How long that lasts I’m not sure. As for others, I don’t know why they are not confident - perhaps years of let down takes effect after a while.
Enjoy the game!

It's bloody hot 34' right now not far from ANZ.

Feel for the Reggie's players it will still be hot come NRL kick off will play its part in the game I think we'll handle it better

I reckon (and I'm only guessing) that Tui is there for 2 reasons - to add a bit of attacking spark and as cover for Marshall because if his ankle doesn't hold out, who else is there to cover 5/8? It's a toss up between Nofo & Kev for who gets dropped imo, but it appears that Cleary thinks Nofo is more of a defensive liability at this stage.

I think it's a reasonable assumption, under their current circumstances and I agree with you about the Hayne factor - they will be better for him not being there, I reckon. Anyway, let's face it, they're not just gonna come out, roll over and let us win! Though it would be nice if that did happen, not sure the heart can handle another tight one
