Wests Tigers Team v Parramatta

good news
since he is not named perhaps Jennings is staying

He would’ve excelled in the forwards

Liddle is most likely given the week off to go into a full preseason uninjured. If he played and got another long term injury this week we would be in a spot of bother re hooker to begin next season. Smart move IMO.
Shame Packer isn't playing just to bury the cat Matto, Matto's jocks would be a bit fresher now knowing he isn't going to meet his maker on Saturday night.

Pretty much all of Eels players are better. Like last week I'll be thrilled with losing by under 20, which seems like a big stretch. Tigers will have to play out of their skin.

I wouldn't swap Nofa for Sivo at all. One busts his guts every single week and the other one has 1 good game in every 5 weeks.

Yeah, that and Brooks/Moses is the only ones I think are contentious. I feel Brooks would be a lot better on a dominant team like Parra. Moses is still a massive defensive liability and still doesn't seem to be a big game player. Might be generous to Brooks, but Moses, for all his craft, has quite a few vulnerabilities in his game.

Absolutely agree about Moses, if things aren't going his way he just disappears from sight. Dictionary definition of a frontrunner that bloke. You can distinctly see it in a game that is high on conflict and bruising defence he slips further and further back behind the line in attack he is standing back near the fullback. For all Brooks's faults at least he isn't scared in defence or attack like Moses.

Goes down holding the back of neck trying to get a penalty for a "crusher"

No surprise to see BJ dropped. Reckon the video review would have been embarrassing for him. A bit surprised Liddle has been benched again given he hasn't put a foot wrong since returning from injury.

Oh well, hopefully the boys aim up but I suspect they'll end up cannon fodder for the flat track bullies.

I never believe the side named much anymore there always seems to be last minute changes??
BJ dropped deserves it.

I’m pretty confident about this. I haven’t looked forward to a game all year as much as this week. I feel like we are going to come out pumped, leaving nothing in the shed. I said 2 months ago Parra were in danger of missing the top 4, and people laughed at uncle Gunners, but uncle Gunners knew then Parra were gone. They are ripe for the picking and we are the right team at the right time. I feel like the Jesus psyching out The Dude and Walter “you gotta date Saturday baby!”

Instead if giving farewell games to those leaving, I wish Madge was giving players their debut, similar to the dragons

I understand your line of thinking, but at the same time I like what Madge is doing. I agree with giving players a dignified send off. It makes everyone in the club feel good about being there, and I’m sure sets the foundations for developing players to have an aspirational career as a Wests Tiger. Madge is right, it should mean something to be given a WT jersey. We all cheered when he got back Robbie and Benji, he didn’t do that for the fans, he did it to set the club on a more improved cultural pathway.

We have a habit of being underwhelming when there is an important game, ie sending off retiring players. Parra have been talking this game up all week. I hope the team can turn up, bust their gut for their disappointed fans, and give us something to look forward to next year. I don’t want the last memory of 2020 being flogged by Parra!

Haven't the last couple of seasons when we had to win the last game of the regular rounds to make the top 8 we have been thrashed. I think last year was Raiders and Farah's last game and the year before it was Cronulla. Whilst I love to flog the Eels and they miss the top 4 and we send Lawrence, Marshall, Taylor and Grant out winners our track record does not give me much hope. Prove me wrong boys prove me wrong

As Gus would say. No no no

2019 - Sharks
2016 - Raiders

And this isn’t a must win game. Nothing is on the line. It’s emotion we’re playing for, not finals. That’s very different

Raiders have to win for eels to be a chance of missing top 4. Considering they named a reserve grade team I doubt they’ll beat the sharks.
