Pretty much all of Eels players are better. Like last week I'll be thrilled with losing by under 20, which seems like a big stretch. Tigers will have to play out of their skin.

I wouldn't swap Nofa for Sivo at all. One busts his guts every single week and the other one has 1 good game in every 5 weeks.

I agree, Sivo has been ordinary this year

He is also another one of the milkmen at parra

Agree with the sentiment, but what's a milkman??

Goes down holding the back of neck trying to get a penalty for a "crusher"

I firmly believe the dudes who spent excess mental energy trying to game the refs, especially the ones who are dopes anyway, detract from their own performance.

Cam Smith is probably the only person who massages the game without detracting from his own form and performance, i.e. he can multitask. But muppets like Sivo, their job is to run hard, smash people and score tries. Sivo has been wasting his time trying to con refs and it detracts from his already limited brain cells.

Same with Fergo, the bloke is so obsessed with scoring a try, because he has hardly scored all year, that he's got the yips in all other facets of his game. And the few times he's crossed or crossed and been disallowed, he loses his mind with joy, which I think is an indicator of focusing too hard on the end goal and not the job at hand.

Nofoaluma on the other hand has been neatly wracking up the tries on the back of focusing on hard work early in the tackle count, with that platform rewarding him later in the set.

I understand your line of thinking, but at the same time I like what Madge is doing. I agree with giving players a dignified send off. It makes everyone in the club feel good about being there, and I’m sure sets the foundations for developing players to have an aspirational career as a Wests Tiger. Madge is right, it should mean something to be given a WT jersey. We all cheered when he got back Robbie and Benji, he didn’t do that for the fans, he did it to set the club on a more improved cultural pathway.

Madge said a couple of weeks ago he would select teams with a view to the future, he hasn't done that, why I have no idea

While it’s understandable it’s still pretty disappointing the number of first graders rested this week. It will make the final round tipping interesting though.

It is possible he has picked a few to reinforce in his mind that they have no future here(not to give them extensions)

Glad someone finally mentioned this. You could tell it was all that mattered to him. Must be an ego thing

It's sad when other clubs are giving their best juniors a taste of first grade to wet their appetite and prepare them for next season and we're still holding onto the past. Team selections this past month have been a joke. We're so scared to give our young players a shot for some reason. The only club in the nrl to be so hesitant

Could be he doesn't want to blood the youngsters into a side that only performs for 20 minutes and the fact that most of them have had no gametime in lower grades due to the covid. I agree it would have been nice to see a few of them though. At least Blore is back in the 17 to continue smashing nathan brown though.

He then selected mbye at 1 and Douiehi at 4 which is what I reckon he meant. Worked brilliantly as well IMO then injuries cruelled it.

There is A VERY significant difference and reason why a couple of clubs have decided to blood a heap of youngsters and IMO it’s the same reason why we haven’t. Can you spot the difference?

The very reason Canberra and Melbourne are giving all there kids a go is the same reason we don’t.

Can’t really blame them. It’ll give sharks their first win over a top 8 team all year most likely lol

Melbourne are avoiding unnecessary injuries. They can’t finish anywhere but second, so it makes sense. You don’t do that when you are playing for a top 4 spot. Very odd move by Stuart.

He’s probably assuming we will lose to eels which is very likely. Raiders are also a very good chance of beating sharks in finals so he’s probably not too concerned about that.

Nah you are not being vague. I was probably over cryptic.

The teams that are flooding youngsters are already in the 4/8 and this round has no real bearing. The reason (other than resting stars) is that if they are needed during finals, they have had no football because of no reggies and they need to give them a run so they are not woefully underdone when it counts.

We don’t have that upside, they will just be woefully underdone with no upside

sad Liddle is not in the side - oh well I hope we win but if we don't - I just want MMoses flattened by a very good tackle from Blore or whoever - that's not much to ask for right? lol
