Wests Tigers Coach Michael Maguire has named an unchanged team for his side’s Round 4 clash against the Parramatta Eels on Easter Monday at Stadium Australia.

After a tight win over the Newcastle Knights last weekend, Wests Tigers will field the same 17 for their traditional Easter Monday game against the Eels, which will return to the former Olympic venue for the first time since 2018.

The shift in venue will allow for a greater capacity of fans to attend the game, which did not take place in 2020 due to COVID-19.

Alex Twal has been named at lock and will take part in Monday’s game regardless of his outcome at the NRL Judiciary on Tuesday night.

Twal is contesting a Grade 1 Contrary Conduct charge following last week’s win, with the forward facing a monetary fine if found guilty at the judiciary.

Tommy Talau and James Roberts will again start in the centres for Maguire’s side with Joey Leilua named in jersey 19 following a strong performance in the Knock On Effect NSW Cup last week.

Leilua joins Russell Packer, Michael Chee Kam and Alex Seyfarth as four reserves names as part of the 21-man squad, which will be reduced to 19 players at 4:00pm on Sunday.

Final teams will then be confirmed one hour prior to kickoff (3:00pm, Monday).

Fella can hit. Now that’s a proper bench utility

watch Jake Simpkin leave to another club soon not even in the 21

Chill. It's only round 4. He's played 3 games of professional rugby league having not played a game for 18 months.

He's a mile better than Mbye and probably better than Liddle at this stage. He should be in the 17 and it's pretty silly that he isn't.

Expected I guess.

Would have really liked to see Jake in for Mbye.

Yeah that's the only change I would have gone with. Mbye's service from dummyhalf is sloth-like in its speed.

As expected ..

I would love to see Simpkins get a run off the bench for like 20mins just to see how he goes but I really don't see Coach dropping Mbye off as you cannot have both on bench..

Happy to see how the guys go again this week after getting the win..

Is Kepoa marking Ferguson or Siva? Either way it doesn't look good for West Tigers. Replace Kepoa with MBye otherwise likely to be a landslide against WT.
