Rusty on gardening leave... again!!

Misses his chance to wreck Ivan’s Panthers, as he did Matterson. I would have thought he’d be chomping at the bit for this game. Spite, hate and revenge can be a beautiful thing in rugby league.

He’s in my SC side. I wouldn’t complain.

x2 The savvy tigers out there use Fantasy Football as an emotional hedge. Why didn't I start it sooner?

Nofoaluma has been in my sides since rd 1...smashing it..

Nuffie has run more meters than anyone in the NRL from sideline to sideline?

Leading TRY scorer too..

3rd in tackle breaks..

How many try assists for the opposition? Could not help myself .

The season is shot.

Despite the negativity towards Benji on this forum, I reckon he is still a fan favourite. There is nothing to be gained by dropping him. I reckon most Tiger's fans would like to see him play his career out in first grade.

Without reserve grade games behind him the risk of introducing Madden this year is too great, and in any event you would be reluctant to drop him in against this opposition.

Although I respect the guy, I agree with the comments that JR should be shelved and encouraged to move on.

At this stage of the game it is understandable to allow Benji to play out the season. But it should be his last.

Thank you! a wise post indeed!

Whats the point in dropping Benji to bring in who?, Reynolds?, like Benji, he too is not our future and the sooner he is out of our plans the better. That leaves Madden, to bring him in for his NRL debut against the Panthers is selection suicide... When our season is officially shot and the pressure is off then bring in Madden for one or two of the last 4 games...

Maguire isn’t a fan or Reynolds. And so as long as Reynolds is here, Maguire will want another option. It’s the only reason he’s stuck with Marshall imo.

Exactly. And he is right. Everyone bitching about the team and repeat offenders getting picked....who the helll do you replace them with?

Make a few positional switches at least
We have Doueihi Mbye and Talau who have all been mentioned as possible halves but have not been given a go
Mbye could go back to fullback which would allow Doueihi to move into the Halves
Bring Asu back in and move Talau to the halves
Put Brooks on the bench again
But at least try something
You would think Doueihi or Talau would do a better job stopping Cleary then Marshall
Cleary will target Marshall all game
If its not himself he will run the big guys at him all game
This game will convince Benji to retire

I just dont see the point in this team selection
Nothing much changes
Why is Marshall and Mbye captain
Could there be a late change
Mbye out and Asu in
There is nothing exciting about this team
I hope they grow some balls before the game

Soft

Yep
I haven't been that soft since walking into a bingo hall full of old retired women

Punt Brooks bring in Douehi at 5/8 for the rest of the season run with Benji at 7 for the last 4 games If that’s the thinking for 2021.

But 16 metres ain’t a beautiful thing in anyone’s language. Doesn’t deserve professional athlete status.

I agree, he doesn’t deserve a spot. It’s his own fault. He needs to take accountability and do honorable thing by exiting the club. Tigers need a shake up of the roster, get rid of the deadwood, no one wants to wait until 2022.

Exactly. If I had played last week I'd be in hospital now, but I'd be the proud owner of at least 17 metres (possible I would need 18 runs).

Point being, his highlight reel is a single angry charge against Parra and he doesn't deserve the chance to add to it .

Zero accountability at all. What a bloody joke.

Russell's decoy runs will be missed

There was no way he was going to be selected.

I’d say it was Packer that was called into the office for a grilling

Kent’s article?
The player hasn’t played any finals games.
That should narrow it down.

Yep. I backed the bloke but he’s lost me. Lazy bloke who doesn’t walk the talk

Same crap, different smell.

Mbye seems to be immune to any performance measures. Benji is toasted, Garners defence is terrible, Mikaele has done nothing to earn a role in the starting side, I thought Mikaele might be injured but if he is fit to start, he must just be playing badly..

I realise our roster is spread thin, but again no middle forward on the bench. Not sure if it is our roster or Maguire's selections that are a complete mess.

Channel 9 news spinning the narrative that this might be a revenge match for Penrith because of Joeys swinging arm on Edwards completely ignoring our two players hospitalised due to dog shots in the same game including Joeys brother.

I really wish someone at the club would have the stones to call this out.

I hope Joey has a blinder. Crichton is a beast in attack but suspect in defence hopefully Benji actually gives Joey room to run and doesn’t come across field constantly

i know this isn't v penrith but saw this on tigers website

Madden will remain on a Development contract in 2020 — where he trains full-time but is ineligible for first-grade until after Round 16 — before moving in to the NRL squad proper in 2021.

wonder if he's a chance next week. Would be tough to debut and get 80 put on ya
