The season is shot.
Despite the negativity towards Benji on this forum, I reckon he is still a fan favourite. There is nothing to be gained by dropping him. I reckon most Tiger's fans would like to see him play his career out in first grade.
Without reserve grade games behind him the risk of introducing Madden this year is too great, and in any event you would be reluctant to drop him in against this opposition.
Although I respect the guy, I agree with the comments that JR should be shelved and encouraged to move on.
At this stage of the game it is understandable to allow Benji to play out the season. But it should be his last.
Thank you! a wise post indeed!
Whats the point in dropping Benji to bring in who?, Reynolds?, like Benji, he too is not our future and the sooner he is out of our plans the better. That leaves Madden, to bring him in for his NRL debut against the Panthers is selection suicide... When our season is officially shot and the pressure is off then bring in Madden for one or two of the last 4 games...
How does any club who might be even remotely interested in Reynolds / Packer / McQueen get to see what value they are if they don't play ....
