Wests Tigers Team v Penrith Rd 18

Honestly tupou is starting to grow on me he could be anything
Tupou showing signs of being really good .Good Hands Good sidestep
Needs to improve defence needs edge 2nd rower to get in and help
He was on a hiding to nothing opposite Sivo but so would most
I would only prefer Kenny if he is 100% fit

Lawrence was a turnstyle for his first couple of seasons.

Love a winger that also....almost runs forward and straight

I don't mind seeing how Hastings goes at 13. Offa has been good there but just doesn't add the extra spark in attack that most 13s have these days. No way would i have Kelma anywhere near the team and would have Garner in run on and given Tumeth a run from the bench.

He can’t do any worse than he has been at 7. Offa’s role won’t change too much.

I take offence to that! 🤣

BTW, it's "turnstile". My user name is a portmanteau.

On topic though, this week's team is exactly what I said about Sheens when he was last at the club: same 17 every week but let's play our best half back at lock...

Oh, and while we're at it, let's move our lock - who has probably been our best player this year - to prop.
🙄

Hastings is good at directing team around and half-back is a good position to do that from but just in last few weeks he's getting hands on ball almost too much and a lot of sideways crabbing to the detriment of some others in attack . He stands out so much as main playmaker that he's heavily targeted by opposition . A bit of variety in attack helps and let's start trying to put wingers into 2 on 1 situations like we finally did in last 10 mins last week

Offa at prop I like. All his best footy prior to tigers was at prop. Really glad it’s not backrow though

I'm reading a lot of posts, including mine, as to why we are persevering playing guys who won't be here next year or may be leaving.
Some of these include Garner, Tuilagi, Tamou, Liddle.
Others could be released like Gildart, Tuki Simpkins, JH, Brooks, Peachey.
It's all speculative who will go and who will be extended.
Do we keep playing two back rowers who are definitely leaving.
Sponsors want wins but we need to develop. It's a double ended sword. Push or pull, your going to get stabbed. 🤔
What they appear to be doing is spoon feeding development boys into the NRL which is a good thing but our halves are a tangled web.
One thing that has to happen is give the ½/ ⅝ combo a go for all, which may mean giving Brooks a rest for a couple of weeks then bring him back and play AD at fullback for a couple of weeks then make a decision moving forward. Use all combos.
Moving JH to lock is not the way to do it imo.
I could be wrong but moving JH to lock weakens our team and is he happy in that position if he's wanting an extention?

I'm happy coaching issues being answered and happy those in charge passionately care about the tigers .So welcome back Tim and now more important subjects
How do we beat panthers this weekend
Major signings needed and stop this papalii nonsense
Come up with final spine solution .if we must keep Brooks (not my call)
then find place where we don't depend on his kicking game
Maybe paired with Naden in centers next week and Douehi and Hastings halves. Alternatively Brooks a bench utility .
Get forwards to rip in like they did against parra but do it for 80 mins
These are most important short term topics
