I'm in favour of trying James Roberts on the wing but given his form to date and his few weeks injured, a week in reserves wouldn't have hurt. Maybe Kiah Cooper, named at 21 and going well on the left wing for Magpies, should have been tried.

No bench back or hooker. Liddle will need a good 80, and fingers crossed for no backline injuries.

Mbye just needs to give good early ball to Doueihi.

There’s a much better chance of that happening than the reverse order. Even better option..Mbye runs the ball a couple of times, to see how many he can attract, then Brooks cuts him out with early ball to Doueihi, leaving him or Talau to give clean ball to Jet.

probably needs to build his motor. doubt he stays down there for long.

Really feel for Stefano. I’m prepared to give Seyfarth some credit, I think he’s getting better. But Stefano needs to be in the mix somewhere. I haven’t seen Amone, so can’t judge him yet. Mikaele is playing like a guy whose off contract. Blore has to be there too. It’s a hard one.

Seyfarth is a Madge-like player that he'll always try to fit into the side due to their effort and consistency, like a Dave Tyrell or a Jason Clark, or even Twal. I think he'll be on the bench for a while providing he keeps playing with the effort he's shown these past few weeks.

agree think Stefano is pretty unlucky not to be in 17 somewhere, Amone will be good for us though

I think Tuilagi would be a bit disappointed. He's been a standout for the Magpies.

Agree, I'd have thought he'd get the call before Amone, Tuilagi has more impact.

Isn't Tuilagi a backrower? Why would he be preferred to a middle forward?
If Tuilagi replaced anyone at the moment it would be Blore.

Yes good point mate. Amone has also been playing 13 in recent weeks and in a similar role, instead of actual prop. We'll see how he goes!

I really don’t mind them all getting a run so they get a feel for where their game needs improvement. It’s a better option than getting thrown in on the back of an injury or suspension, additionally, Madge & co get a more realistic expectation. I’m more concerned with positions 1, 3, 6, 7, 9 & 13. I want them to stay as is, so we can get a couple of team building wins at the back end of this season. imo.

I think from looking at his last couple of games he was caught out in defence a bit. Not the only one there though. See a bright future for him here!!!!

Yeh, I guess so? It’s a lesson all the inexperienced players need to learn..don’t drop the intensity simply because you sense others in the team are doing so.

Probably more of a rest rotation seeing as he is still very young. Throwing these young ones in the deep end especially as he didn't play much footy last year can result in some injuries.

Clark I'll grant, but Tyrell? Dave Tyrell was as one-dimensional straight-line running as you can get.

Exactly right. Better to hold the young impressionable ones more accountable to the future standards we want entrenched in our team/culture. The old ones can just leave when their contracts expire. We cannot let this next crop be influenced by the mediocracy that has been her for a decade.

Musgrove's game against Manly was about as bad as you'd see.
