WESTS Tigers Team V Souths

This is a very big positive.

Ava to start, Taupau back to the bench where he should be.

Akauola and Fine in the mix.

Now if we can see some variation to the previous game plan we may be able get up off the canvas.

That's not the actual team mate, just a fans they'd like to see

The fans watch every match in detail and form common sense assessment which would be used to improve our teams chances. You can't expect our coach to do this.

I meant to mention this last week , but I can see why Manaia wasn't rushed into grade

He was certainly struggling to provide anything in defence

If he gets isolated one on one that will be very concerning

He certainly got us on the front foot in attack though

On the flip side concerning for me was Halatau starting at hooker.

0 points against NQ

2 points in the first 40 against Titans.

He lacks spark and vision. Cherrington is a good inclusion.

I just don't get it with Lovett - no punch in offense and doesn't dominate in defense

Thats why he wont be re-signed for 2016

He's starting most weeks, taylor likes him obviously more than Akouala or liolevave. Which is a joke as well. Lovett is a plodder in the highest degree we need some punch!!!!

I'm surprised Akoula hasn't had a chance this year.

When Potter wasn't playing him on the wing I thought he looked good attack wise in the centre. (I think I just answer my own question. Taylor being about defence and all can't carry an 13th player that can't tackle)

I prefer Buchanan over Santi just.

We have really missed Simona and Nofo this year. we probably win the last two with them alone.

Big difference with some strike out wide.

We need to bite the bullet and play cherrington @ hooker for the full 80 and Halatau to the second row.
Lovett to NSW cup and drop Santi off the bench.

Taylor seems to think hooker is part of the bench rotation, all year it's been Halatau on for Farah and now Cherrington on for Halatau. He even had luke Brooks running at hooker just for the sake of pulling Halatau off the other week. If Halatau gets hurt during origin, JT will probably make Cherington the starting hooker and play Joel Luani off the bench.

Meanwhile Aaron Woods is playing about 30 minutes a half and looking wrecked out there while we waste interchange space swapping dummy halves.

Great news having Simona and David back. I hope they don't reinjure themselves playing Souths. They've been unlucky with injuries those two. :frowning:

Best side we can come up excluding Farah and Woods. Wouldn't mind seeing Akauoula or Liolevave get a run ahead of Lovett though.

agree

one of those guys just for a bit of x factor. dont see the point of having santi on the bench and giving him 20-25mins. he is a work horse not an impact player.

A bit like Josh Jackson at Origin Level.

That backline looks so much better with Nofo and Simona in the mix. Still reckon Naiqama and Nofo should be swapped.

Yep and yep.

Naiqama appears too short for the wing spot and Nofo kills it there.

Yep agree Nofo a better winger than centre

I wonder if both centres will play …... or subject to fitness tests ?

On paper, if they all play, considering no Inglis, Luke and Renolds ..... one would think we should be competitive.
