WESTS Tigers Team V St George Illawarra..

As controversial as it is, it’s good to see Ivan thinking about the shape of our pack.
We can’t have both Twal and Eisenhuth on our bench. We need a ginuine backrower as well which Aloiai and Chee Kam are not. Aloiai might start but soon after he will go into the middle rotation alongside Sue, Chee Kam and Eisenhuth. A bit of speed to play with in the middle. Would have been better to move Eiso but maybe Cleary plans on bringing Twal into a future starting positIon?

But why Twal?? He’s playing much better footy than Eiso??

Thought sue would be the logical choice.

Good idea drop the most effective defensive player in the team..makes sense to me..

If Twal did something wrong it will come out the same way Fonua sleeping in did. If not, then it’s just bizarre.

As I mentioned,
Moving Twal back, gives him a chance to prepare him for a starting position and playing longer minutes.
I’m surprised just as much as you. But this gives me some indication that it probably won’t be long until we see Matolino playing longer minutes from the bench.

Mine as well. But really with Garner possibly starting a bench of Twal, Eisenhuth, Chee Kam and Aloia doesn’t really give us that impact.
Sue can play less minutes than Twal at a higher intensity.
Ivan’s proably thinking, the Dragons pack is vulnerable after the work they had to do on Wednesday night. Probably plans on playing our impact men in through the middle working over, Graham, Vaughn, Mc Inness, and Debelin.

should of dropped Eisenhuth instead of Twal

Totally agree, with this. Personally i would even have McQueen over Chee Kam also.

Our Impact men working over the Dragons..I like it..

Who are they again..?

You lost me once you mentioned McQueen.
He doesn’t have the tank for first grade at the moment. Far from fit enough!
I mentioned this is the Leichhardt game.
At this stage the speed that Chee Kam can play at and his offloads is the exact impact we need

Yeah I’m sure that’s discipline related.

People need to give the coach more credit, he was promoted to the starting team last game, I think that means Ivan rates him.

Really disappointed if the Twal news is true. He’s been our best forward for the last few weeks.

Positive news is Garner getting a run in first grade. Hope he continues his form from state cup.

None of this wishy washy results will take care of themselves crap from Rowdy..

I'm not so sure - Twal was really found out against the Titans in his first start. Cleary debuted Twal in the first place, thought enough to promote him the previous match, and now feels fair to demote him.

Whilst it is likely something to do with discipline, it could also be a reflection of previous-game failure… or an idea to blood some new energy with the season on the line.

What I find crazy is that people routinely criticise Cleary for not demoting/promoting based on form, but actually Cleary moves players around a lot, not forced by injury. He is the anti-Sheens, because he really doesn't pick and stick at all.

There must be a group of Tigers fans that are happy with any player being dropped, even Twal, because it shows there is some kind of accountability, even if you don't understand 100% what the rationale is.

Finally someone leads the way. Next year scrap the captain of the week rubbish and make rowdy the captain of the team and the club.
