Iam going to change my tipping this week to the Tigers, surely after this weeks attention they will put in big time, Am I insane to trust my team again ?

Dragons are not that good I think we can win this week

Most of us thought that Manly weren't that good either, but I can understand what you are saying.

Dragons don't have a Turbo to change the game in a moment; they will try and grind us out.

They do have a Matt Dufty who will create havoc.

Liddle is a first grader, all you Simpkins fan boys can rightly claim Jake is the better player but Liddle has been hard done by. What's more he has an attitude we desperately lack.

Having two hookers can be a real game changer and build much needed momentum and help roll the ruck.

Both simpkin and liddle can't play that running type of forward role they are both dummy half's

Mbye can cover abcd position but if no one gets injured what then?
Simpkin had a head knock in his 2nd game, he looked gassed before it happened. Liddle would offer more in the middle of the park than Mbye would and last 2 weeks has looked great in NSW Cup. Play him as a tandum with clear dart orders and his value would be far greater than Mbye for us

Mbye we also have told go look elsewhere, Liddle we haven’t yet. It’s time to do something different not the same old same old it doesn’t work rubbish.

At least Twal is where he belongs this week, with Joffa and Garner starting in their better suited positions.

I'd be shifting Roberts over to left centre as well, as the only time he gets the ball is when he goes looking for it trying to help out on that side. More than anything else with Jimmy, I have seen a guy trying hard and being starved of opportunities from a six that I expected to deliver him some good ball, but sadly that has been sorely absent.

Joey is diabolical. Needs to show us something we haven't seen in 2 years. Very unlikely.

Joey has run out of options if he wants to continue his career he will need to aim up or no one will be interested in him. Surely he has worked that out.

Why surely? There is a lot of denial in this forum lately. It's sad. Joey is long gone. How many more chances goes he get? And if he plays one good game, does that make up for the season and a half that he's plodded around for?

Simpkin didn't miss the first tackle try, Musgrove did (Twal was secondary). You are thinking of the 3rd try, but even that one I wouldn't entirely pin on Simpkin, because Turbo runs away from him and Mbye fails to cover to his outside as Turbo veers away from Simpkin.

Liddle is a decent player but he wasn't setting the world on fire his first 5 matches 2021, and Simpkin was good against Souths.

Thought Doueihi was the number one offender for the first try. Utterly lazy, as was Musgrove for the next try.

I have read through pages of keyboard coaches who have an opinion and only that....they havent had to coach an NRL side or any side for that matter bar a few on here that have....
Madge is giving his best to get this team to perform,I watched the replay of the Manly game and some of our players dont deserve an NRL contract let a lone call themselves RUGBY LEAGUE players.when you start your journey on the road to being a star or reasonable player you MUST get the basics right...tackle.pass the ball back not flat or forward,support your teamate,play the ball back correctly as per rules and most of all run HARD...
As for rubbishing Mbye,BJ,JTJ.Tamou,Joe O..all are origin players,if you put equal quality players alongside of them instead of rookie work experience kids the outcome would be in our favour big time...the kids have to learn and maybe,just maybe the more experienced guys are letting them run their race so they can learn by their mistakes...you all want to get rid of Madge,why dont you stop and think that maybe he has put a structure and game plan in place but these guys cant quite grasp how to do it at this level..some even said that Simpkins who I think will go a long way.still tries to win a game on his own,hello its NRL level and you learn by your mistakes...
Rant over stick with the team,Madge and club for at least this season then lets judge after Madge has tried to fix our problems...

The thing that I don't get about the truckloads of Simpkin praise is that it's based on no data to judge him on.

He's had a handfull of good but not great Reserve grade games (I've actually watched every game) followed by an average performance and a poor performance in the NRL.

So what exactly are the gushing over the top assessments of his ability based on?

It can't be his second tier performances because any objective observer would say that Liddle's domination of that competition is undeniable, yet his performances have been dismissed.

The only possible answer is that nobody really knows at this stage what the future holds for him.
