He was playing very well until if went of with the HIA a few weeks ago. Fixing our game breaking players is much better than just swapping them with fringe players. I wish it was easier to do.

I wish I had your optimism. He won't see out the year in first grade and I wouldn't be surprised if this Sunday was his last game. Actually, I would tbh. He's protected for some reason.

I just hate how Joey plays. He plays with no passion, he's lazy, he is slow and gets pushed back all the time. He is a negative player, so when he plays he puts more pressure on our team.

I can't remember a dominant performance by him in Tigers colours. But he's all we have, I guess.

Oh, if you ignore the youth running around in reserve grade.

He is one of the most one dimensional, predictable halves I've ever seen. If he is doing the job he is sent out to do, which is sending the same exact end over end bomb up every set, then we have serious problems in the coaching. But in reality, I think Brooks just has a limited skillset, and can't do much more. It's dire.

Oh and look outside this thread, there aren't exactly loads of clubs wanting to sign Luke Brooks. There is a reason why he stayed at the club, and it ain't loyalty.

Joey is diabolical. Needs to show us something we haven't seen in 2 years. Very unlikely.

Joey has run out of options if he wants to continue his career he will need to aim up or no one will be interested in him. Surely he has worked that out.

Why surely? There is a lot of denial in this forum lately. It's sad. Joey is long gone. How many more chances goes he get? And if he plays one good game, does that make up for the season and a half that he's plodded around for?

Sims will have a shot at Luciano then Joey will hit pork chop mode

And Brooks nothing is happening in the halves something needs to change there would of given Madden a run as he would offer at least variety and something different and you just never know . Joey was always coming back as the cupboard is bare .

Who would you replace Talau with? Only 2 options we're allowed to use would be Cini (has only played fullback in reserves), or Hoffman (a centre).

We really have no outside backs to choose from.

Brooks said on FOX ‘we did not turn up’ and ‘we did not not put in defensively’

The big problem with that is they also did not put in or turn up two weeks earlier...nor most of rounds 1-4 sec halves

In the past we have had terrible reserve grade teams who also lost....so, it was hard. How do you promote reggies who also get hammered?

But this year the reggies are playing great....so, it is really disheartening the firsts (who admitted to not bothering to turn up 2 of the past 3) also basically stay the same 21 (a few shuffles)...

The team shows how slim pickings we have in the backs.

Tawl at prop big yes - should always play there he has never been a lock.

Joe isn’t a backrower, maybe a roving lock role could suit. He is actually one player trying week in week out.

Seyfarth on the bench is stupid. He is not an impact or hold player. Swap him for Amone and Liddle for Mbye and will be happy with the bench.

we can't carry Liddle and Simpkin in 17
hopefully next year Hastings or Brooks takes the Mmbye role

I think adding Liddle to the team would really lift our attacking options. Thought he only needed a bit of a spell tbh but in a shared role he's always been great due to his agility. It's also great to use as an additional playmaker with some experience.

if we dont move Brooks or Mmbye on next year with Hastings joining us I don't see a dual hooker role working, simpkin plays 80 mins.
if we dont have Brooks or mmbye then maybe Liddle on the bench could work as Hastings would then play 7. if Hastings plays 13 then we need a backrower on the bench that can cover centre if needed

Biggest problem with our team is that if there was a salary cap for footy I.Q. points we'd have a whole lot of our cap left over.
Players in our team with footy brains are few and far between.
