Matching the chooks through the middle is where this game will either be lost or won. Takieuo or whatever his name is helps us a bit as his post contact metres are massive. Our pack does look a little light but if the surface is slippery again and it's hard to see it being a fast dry track then that will help us.

Ummmm...I like it better when you say we'll get pumped...

There is a greater than 50% chance we'll get pumped in this one...

Not if Wests Tigers and supporters are pumped up.

Tonights game should realistically determine the substance of this team, are they progressing under Maguire or do they revert back to the same old team, playing well for 25 mins and getting hammered or are they on the road to being an 80 min team showing plenty of intestinal fortitude...the team has shown enough in previous weeks that they can compete for the full 80,they must show that determination again tonight to prove that they are heading towards finals footy..

Once Benji and Robbie tick off their 300 Grub and Liddle should be bought in and given a go as starters, I dont like just keeping guys there for milestones but i think thats whats happening.

I want nothing more than a win against this soulless tip of a club.

But I can't see us doing them unless they were as bad as Souffs last week.

Would've had a great chance at 3 in a row if all their injured weren't returning for our game! The 3 that are returning are really the 3 that makes this Roosters team a contender - they've been very vulnerable without them.

@The_Doc
Faff n liddle already split hooking duties which I’m ok with as long as liddle gets 40-50 mins as faff is old but still manages a game well whit his kicking bit like cam smith...unfortuanly with grub brooks needs benji...until brooks can cope with being a domaint half grub will never be in

I really hope so, but I will not be holding my breath, I would also like to get some value out of Packer as well, but not this week apparently

@Geo I reckon we'll need a big bench to match it with the Roosters in the middle. I'd be playing either Farah or Liddle for 80 and moving Packer to the bench.

Why? Packer is useless

@Jimmy We've been waiting for Brooks to be this supposed dominant half for years, he needs to be thrown in the deep end. He's barely played with grub they need an extended run together. Im ok with keeping Benji on even next year if we cant get better, but he's hardly tearing up tree's give him his milestone and move him to the background as cover. If Brooks and grub dont work then we have to try and make descisions in that area.

Why do we need him to be the dominant half. Sharks won a comp with chad townsend, broncos won last time with Shane Perry. What you nees out of any position is value for money and given we arent paying brooks huge money we are getting value for money which is more then we can say for much of our roster. In fact id say we get better value from our spine this year then any team what we havent done is taken advantage of that in other players and positions

I cant buy this argument. I get the value for money and squad depth thing but you cant run out with a so so fullback, a so so 5/8, a so so halfback and so so hooker.

Youll win nothing.

Not sure Brooks is cheap (reported around $800K), Townsend is very under rated and is very good at controlling a game, Perry yes you are right, but he had an origin team around him.

I’d rather a healthy Packer over Clark.
