WESTS Tigers Team V Warriors...

I know there was talk out of the WTs that Cherrington is an 80min player.. However, If he does tire who goes into Dummy Half?
Rankin Or Littlejohn
It would require a lot of shuffling , with no 2nd DH on the bench. But u could go Cherrington subbed. Little-john to DH (as he is probably a slightly better defender than Rankin) and Rankin to half. Lawerence to wing/centre and Aloiai on in 2nd row.
This is assuming Chee Kam is 18th man as per the team listings.

I was thinking the same thing. And if Chee Kam is in, then he could go to centre with Kev moving to wing instead of moving Lawrence. So many options!

Never seen Jack Littlejohn play. Where's Luke Brooks?
And isn't Jordan Rankin a 5/8?

I'm out of touch. Hopefully Chee Kam will debut. Been waiting for him to spark since NYC.

Brooks is suspended for round 1

Buchanan, JT is off to a flyer, you are kidding.

Really I don't think Buchanan will do to much…...but don't be surprised if Lovett turns the corner with his ball running this year....I have observed in the Sharkies trial that he seemed to take the line on well on the occasions he had the ball.....time will tell...

I like the team.

Both Buchanan and Lovett looked better in the pre season.

Fingers crossed - Go you Tigers !

I would of rather Griffin or Graham over that plodder Buchanan. Offers nothing but penalties.
Lovett can handle although i think Chee Kam is the better option.

OMG WTF is going on the Lovett, Buchanan trials failed last year, what make JT think it's going to work this year..? Hopefully the versatility of With MCK will make him the 17 man on the day. Then we have Griffin and Parahi (no McConachie .. read earlier he is going to leave us..?) playing down in the lower grade, hope they have blinders down there and make their way up to the NRL (drop Lovett and plodder Buchanan, as the game is now too fast for medium size slow blokes) Glad to see Aloiai on the bench, I pretty sure he is going to give us some punch in attack and be solid in defence for us.
Anyways, onward and upwards I say, let's go Tigers, time to roooaaarrr…!!! :sign:

Maybe he hasn't named liddle and he's a smokey to be named on the bench in #19 to keep him out of the
Media!?!? I don't know how Herrington will play 80

Lovett looked good in the trial, but Buchanan :brick:

Last year was Lovett's first year out of U20's, gees give the guy a break. He was ridiculed on this forum when JT played him out of position in the centres. He has bulked up again over the off season.
I think Chee Kam will be in the 17 at Buchanan's expense.

Good team.
Geez a few of you are tough on some of our guys..and I get the frustration but I think Lovett has been building for THIS year,
And Jack does his job, that's all he has to do this weekend.
In saying that I wouldn't be at all surprised if MCK gets his spot for versatility reasons.
22 and 23 yrs old respectively!

The end of this season will separate the boys from the men, so to speak..

Till then I'm right behind the lot if them.

I think that Lovett has some upside and is a young player on the way up. I do not see much in Buchanan, and was surprised he got re-signed at the end of last year. If he is next in line for a prop rotation we are in some trouble this year.

I thought there was talk of Lovett doing some dummy half work?

I expect Buchanan is there for the fitness factor. Gotta bear in mind we've not played a single game of reduced interchange yet and nobody is 100% sure how it's going to turn out.

Let me defend Buchanan's selection: If Grant, Woods and Sue are going to be rotated off and on, then we need two prop/locks to play in the middle besides Ava. Lovett & Cheeky both play wider. I'm not so sure about about Aloiai.

I suspect Edwards was intended to play this role, but I'm not sure any of the NSW Cup props are better than Buchanan. Even if they were, I don't think this is the game to blood them.

I can see why there's not much love for Buchanan on here; certainly been ordinary in his appearances last year. His first year with us when he was thrown in as starting prop because of injuries gave me some cause to believe he may eventually come good. He's bigger and stronger now; look for a better showing.

Having said that, I want MCK in the side somewhere.
