WESTS Tigers Team V Warriors...

i dont mind buchanan. he's in the top 4 most experienced props in our team. he's been a little off the pace but he's a year younger than woodsy and he's only gonna get better.

he runs hard and tackles hard. i like him.

When Edwards is fit he'll replace Lovett and for balance Chee-Kam may get a spot.
Rankin worries me on the wing , the Beast may run in 10 tries if they line up on the same side of the field.

Jack B will give a 100% and last Season when a few of his mate went missing Jack was having a go. In saying that Jacks 100% =Woods 50%!!!!!!He is no world beater but at least you know what your going to get each week.

no mcconachie in any grade, does anyone know why?

Has been named at prop for the Ipswich Jets.

Ugh no he hasn't.

1\. Carlin Anderson 2\. Marmin Barba 3\. Liam Capewell 4\. Nemani Valekapa 5\. Richard Pandia 6\. Hayden Lipp 7\. Dane Phillips 8\. Jesse Roberts 9\. Landon Hayes 11\. Nathaniel Neale 12\. Josh Seage 13\. Rory Humphries 14\. Sebastian Pandia
Interchange: 15\. Salesi Funaki 16\. Elijah Alick 17\. Marion Seve 18\. Michael Purcell 19\. Kyle McConnell 20\. Abraham Attalah

Interesting that Funaki and Seve are on the bench for Ipswich. Heaps close to first grade spots. :crazy

Congrats to all the newbies, looking forward to seeing them run around in Tigers colours for the first time.

Actually I'll be in Fiji for this so just looking forward to it full stop!

The off-season has been too long. Up the Tigers!!!

Could he be wearing the missing number ten on your list.

Manu is left wing and Nofo is right wing so they'll line up against each other. Lolohea with his fancy feet will be a danger if he gets the ball with depth against Rankin on the other wing though.

Looks like a few of the plodders from last year are being given the chance to show if they should remain in the top grade. I'm ok with that but if guys like Lovett, Buchanan and Sironen don't show something over the first couple of rounds I hope JT has the kahunas to punt them.

Only surprise is Buchanan i can only assume that he and Lovett are the 2 best trainers at the club

Look I stumbled on this fact when reading some magazine the Mrs brought home form the newsagency but Buchanan has the best defensive tackle completion rate at the Tigers at about 95.7%

Pity he can't move like Taupau

Happy does it say how many tackles he makes compared to others because having a high completion rate means little if you are doing less tackles than others.I would rather have someone who has a high tackle count even if it is at a lower completion rate

His tackle count is comparable to the other forwards, considering the minutes he played. (Only 12 games, all on the bench).

Hey Raven,I'm going to Fiji in June, the Naviti on the coral coast, can you let me know if they show the NRL over there please….cheers mate....

Go the Tigers...hoping for very few injuries this year so we don't have to swap and change players into different positions every week....

He missed 8/233 (according to nrl.com) = 96.57%, from 12 starts, averaging 19.42 tackles per game.

I don't have his minutes, but by comparison to other benchies 2015:
Lovett - 663 tackles, 21 missed (96.62%), 21 starts, 31.86 tackles per game
Ava - 443 tackles, 11 missed (97.52%), 23 starts, 19.74 tackles per game
Hammer - 514 tackles, 30 missed (94.16%), 22 starts, 23.32 tackles per game

You won't have a problem watching NRL in Fiji…they are footy mad over there. Near every bar I went to had the whole weeks games being played over and over again. I took 10 footballs over with me for the local kids (and a couple of cheap pumps) talking footy is a great way to engage with the locals. They took me to local games and invited me to play touch footy every arvo with them..just before beer time.

Lovett, Buchanan and no backup hooker. I was a little shocked by these decisions but the footy's nearly here and I'm excited.
I think we've all gotta be willing to let JT live or die by his sword.

Congrats to all picked and good luck. Go the Tigers.

I don't get the Buchanan hate ?

Lets face it…..if our Salary Cap situation was better and we could have made some better purchases than we made ( in terms of proven NRL players ) Buchanan would be no where near our 17 and if we had players such as : Ballin , Farah , Edwards , Halatau available ? he would have no hope in getting in our 17.
I mean we have Lovett on the bench that tells you just how low our stocks are at the moment.

The only one i can think of that could of come in for Buchanan ? is Griffin but obviously he must be behind on his fitness levels.....i'm guessing .

Buchanan would know full well that this is his opportunity to impress , his only on a 1 year deal and if anything ? for the sake of his Career his going to bust his gut for us or State Cup it will be for him when players are available.

Cut the bloke some slack i'd say.
