Everyone of the Rankin haters repeat after me:

SALARY

CAP

CONSTRAINTS.

He's there because we don't have a choice - as long as he's fit he's in the team, because he can play any position 1-6 and if we have an injury, he fills in the spot as our 2nd tier cap is completely exhausted.

We are eligible mathematically still to make the finals, so we get absolutely ZERO lee-way here.

If we make the finals, all bets are off - the cap constraints go away. THEN and only THEN will it be interesting to see who Taylor picks.

Damn you people go back to your shanties!

To all the Rankin lovers , repeat after me ..

Rankin

Isn't

A

First

:bash

I'm pretty sure when Tiger Torch listed the top 25 at the start of the year Hunt was in it so there's no reason to play Rankin when Hunt can cover the same positions as Rankin, I may be wrong I've been looking for Tiger Torch's post that listed the top 25

The whining is from the group that can not believe there superhero has meet his match ,just a big YAWN ..only two more weeks and gone forever :righton: .

Since you mentioned it, we can sure use Robbie this week against the Warriors.
But I'm sure you disagree Snake :sunglasses:

That's not the the problem. We can bring Hunt in, but then we have to drop JAC, because Rankin is in the top 25 & JAC isn't.

Hold up….. so how can they play JAC ahead of Hunt if Hunt is in the top 25 and JAC isn't.... 😕

A Torch inaccuracy.. :bulb:

I have wondered that & come to a similar conclusion.

I'm pretty sure nobody counted Elijah Taylor in the top 25 at the start of the season either

Yawn ..hopefully 1 more week !

Rowdy didn't travel..so there will be 1 change…

Chee-Kam would come in I would think perhaps off the bench with Lovett into the starting side...Or Sironen could as well

Hunt is in the top 25, hence my disbelief that he's not getting a run over Rankin after last week's debacle.

I don't know where you're getting your information but I can guarantee you Hunt is not top 25.

I don't get to see any reserve grade games because I live outside of Aus atm. Anyone who watches ISP games regularly able to provide some insight into how Siro has been playing in reserves?

In team news, Tigers back-rower Chris Lawrence has travelled with the squad to New Zealand but won’t take part in Sunday’s match due to a knee injury.

The 27-year-old Australian international will be replaced by Curtis Sironen.

Fellow second-rower Kyle Lovett is also unlikely to play after being bogged down by illness during the week, with Michael Chee Kam to take his place on the bench.
