Wests Tigers to announce new sponsor? UPDATE: Hyundai confirmed!

long time reader…first time writer....

I notice the sponsorship (and congratulations to the club for the deal and the members of this forum who gave me the good news days ago) is only across the top of the jersey. Is anyone aware of whether Hyundai will fill the space under the number as UD Trucks (and other before them) did last year?

Why choose Fults???

Well done WT and Hyundai. My new favourite car.

My god theye bright…..looks like OH&S have been thru the joint

:bash Nah

Fantastic work Wests Tigers…. Now re sign the bloke in the middle please...and the season can start...

Humphreys wants an ocean of orange in the crowd. Blood Orange stands out more than Gold. That kit would look so much better with the white shorts .

I have no idea why you reference Humphreys wanting a sea of orange etc….. (that's just your strange agenda)!!!

But I do agree that the shorts should be black with the white jersey & white with the gold jersey!

Too much white with the alternate kit & not enough with the home version!!!

Congratulations to the Wests Tigers on securing yet another fantastic sponsorship deal. The Tigers are scoring plenty of tries and kicking plenty of goals off the field. They can hopefully translate that on the field on Monday night against the Bulldogs.

a hyundai regional bulletin i stumbled across….

Dear Dealer Principal, General Sales Manager and Sales Manager,

I am pleased to advise that following a number of discussions with the DAC, Hyundai and the Eastern Region dealers have entered into a 3 year sponsorship agreement with the Wests Tigers as the top of back of Jersey sponsor.

It has always been the intention for Hyundai Eastern Region and the dealer body to have a sponsorship property that increases the awareness of Hyundai, in addition to the product and retail activity that is being undertaken.
\
\
\
The keys drivers for picking Wests Tigers in the decision making process were :

• NRL has stronger TV figures than AFL in the ratio of 10 : 1 across the region
• Broad geographic scope of membership
• Highest support in NSW
• Anecdotally, ‘everybody’s second team’
• Closest example of a NSW version of the Carlton sponsorship
• Strong membership potential across Eastern Region
• Very strong leverage potential
• Professional management of club
• A good strong brand to be aligned to
• Considered to be the best sporting property
• Does not conflict with football as it is a winter sport vs HAL in summer
• Good opportunity to integrate with dealers due to geographical reach

The sponsorship was launched today via a Press Conference at Wests Tigers training ground at Concord Oval with a number of dealers in attendance, as this coincided with a Dealer Principal meeting that had already been planned.
\
\
\
With the imminent launch of the season, this will be bound to attract substantial media coverage over the next couple of days and a press release is also attached.

As with the Carlton sponsorship, Wests Tigers sponsorship will give considerable brand awareness throughout the NRL season, and in the near future, further details of the sponsorship will be announced.

So any ideas who the other back of jersey sponsor and shorts sponsor will be when announced in coming days?

Hard to argue with that… Personally I think we have the best CEO in the NRL if not in sport in Australia.

Was not aware there would be any further jersey sponsors announced…

Haiger maybe?

Anyway, good on WT for getting another great brand on board.
They just have to back it up with a win on Monday now

Redemption;
Humphreys was blown away by StGeorge's sea of Red and White last year. He said at the jersey launch that the colour Orange is our own colour and unique to the Wests Tigers and he wants to see as much of it up in the crowd as possible. Ring him and ask him yourself.

Dont go the raw prawn with me mate.

Tigers prosper despite Marshall scandal
>
Benji Marshall's late night assault charge has had little impact on Wests Tigers' corporate image with the joint venture enjoying the most profitable week of its short NRL history.
>
The Tigers on Thursday unveiled a new sponsorship deal with car giant Hyundai - **the partnership part of a $3 million influx into the club this week with additional backers to be revealed in coming days.**
>
The show of support is a stunning endorsement for the club, with the Tigers' most recognisable figure in the headlines for all the wrong reasons earlier in the week.
>
Marshall was front and back page news after becoming involved in an alleged altercation just after 3am in Sydney's CBD on Saturday, with the New Zealand Test skipper charged with assault on Monday.
>
Tigers chief executive Stephen Humphreys revealed he briefed officials from Hyundai as well as other sponsors in the aftermath of the Marshall scandal.
>
"We've been having discussions with them (Hyundai) now for the best part of 18 months and in terms of the events that happened over the weekend, they were the subject of some discussions with them of course," Humphreys said.
>
"They were satisfied with our report into the incident.
>
"It's a very good sign."
>
**With another back of jersey and shorts sponsor to be announced shortly,** Humphreys admitted fearing a potential battering to the club's brand as a result of the publicity generated by Marshall.
>
"You wouldn't be human if you didn't think that but very quickly my mind turned to keeping perspective on that," Humphreys said.
>
"I've really been pleased that as I've been speaking with current sponsors and prospective sponsors they've also had the perspective.
>
"Things come along from time to time and I think what corporates are looking for is how you handle those and the frequency of them happening.
>
"In the fullness of time the court situation will play out and we're very confident of the outcome."
>
Meanwhile, Marshall's Tigersteammate Lote Tuqiri said it was business as usual for the side as they prepared for Monday night's meeting against Canterbury at ANZ Stadium.
>
"Nothing's really changed, no-one's missed a beat," Tuqiri said of the impact the Marshall incident has had on the side.
>
"It's probably brought us a bit closer.
>
"I think we've got a pretty tight group here and everybody was feeling for Benji, but what's done is done.
>
"His lawyers and the courts will deal with that when the time comes and we'll support him."
