Wests Tigers Trial Squad v Dragons

With the expected heat wave conditions It would not surprise if it got canned. The A league have shifted a game from Saturday night to Monday night due to the expected heat on Saturday night

Saturday is going to be pretty hot. Still the stadium at the Gong gets any sort of breeze that's around and is right on the coast.

The bottom line, it doesn't matter how good or how bad you play in a trial, the round one side bar injury is already picked.

I have seen year after year players play the house down in the trials but mis selection for the round one team and usually to the incumbents. Don't get me wrong it gives a fringe player a stage to show case his talents and it is a good way to blow out some cob webs, but as a stage to force selection in the top grade, I don't think so

So what does your 17 look like Supercoach

You would have to ask JT…..But I guess much the same side as 2016 with the inclusion of Idris, and of course if Simona signs elsewhere we are looking for a new outside back, but JT and his team of coaches would have their 17 pretty well if not 100% decided by now

My only changes Kevie to the wing to allow for Idris and Rankin to subbies. Balin starting and Liddle on the bench for impact.

As the start of any season is always played at a higher tempo I think its imperative that we carry liddle off the bench. However maybe a month or so in his position may not required.
So a bench of
14 Liddle
15 Felise
16 Seumunifungai
17 Chee-Kam

Without Liddle probably Tim Grant gets a run

The 17 changed a fair bit during 2016\. We had Sirro playing 8 games, Robbie, Ado Carr, Lovett, Rankin, Halatau and others. From the team that finished the season, we will need to change over about three or four positions. Wing, Centre, Hooker and one bench spot.

Who's going? Reason i ask is to put pressure on you for decent updates.

A Saints mate of mine asked me to go but with my son sick i think ill give it a miss. Plus he just wants me to drive so he can get drunk.

I'll be there …but if we don't put 50 on the Illawarra Z Grade I'm ripping up my membership...
