Wests Tigers v Cowboys trial match *LIVE,,

I wonder if McIntyre is a smokey for left centre? From memory he was a right sided back rower but having been a centre in his juniors he could be in with a shot. Depends if he has a particularly strong step/fend with a certain foot/hand.

Marsters had never played centre in his life before he came into first grade.

Masters did a pretty good job of centre. Our RHS D immediately improved once he came into the side (however, Moses did leave at similar time and Lolohea did well in D as well).
I'm very much interested to see if McIntyre gets much game time in the trail. He's a big boy.
In a bad season last year, one thing did was a positive was how well our rookies went. We don't have many rookies likely to make the 17 this year. I guess McIntyre one that is a slight chance.

Marsters played just about an entire year in ISP at centre before making his NRL debut…

That's true he did end up playing about 10 games in the centres due to the backs being so depleted after the first month or so

The heat will not affect the boys it has been a sauna in Sydney for months!

I have lived in cains for 36 years now
It's not the high temperatures that get you
The humidity this year has been a killer at times
The boys will feel it
But that will be good conditioning for them

Yes, and with the humidity, if it's still it will kill. Any breeze will help. The prediction for Cairns is very light breezes (3 knots) around game time. They will feel it.

So the likely round 1 starting front row will be MIA…So Twal to start with Rochow or Felise perhaps?

Grant would be my guess, unless he's dropped down the pecking order

Forgot about poor old Tim

Can't wait to see a bit of footy tonight. Trial or not, when your season always finishes 4 weeks early it is a long off season.
