About 12th

Who do you have below him?

Sezer Frawley Ben Hunt Adam Reynolds..

The Dragons paid a Million bucks for Hunt to throw passes to row zz last night..that was funny..

based on last night played better than the No.1 so I dunno…

Brooks is not better than Hunt or Reynolds, so 14th at best

Missed yesterdays Dragons game I take it..a lot of the Red V are spewing..lol..

Tyga also added a few I didn't think about as well..

I watched yesterdays game, Hunt is not worth half what they are paying him, still better than Brooks, and proven over quite a few seasons.

It’s a bit rough but on form Brooks is only better than maybe Townsend, Nikorima, Croft.
You could make the case he’s the worst halfback in the NRL as Mbye and Hodkinson no longer start.

Some will probably disagree but I think this is accurate

Foxsports headline saying that Reynolds starred for the Tigers…I hope he is just what we need in this team to take us towards finals footy....early days yet but there is plenty of promise being shown so early by many...

Thats not how i saw it. I wasn't impressed with Reynolds at all. He did some good things but overall he plays too messy for my liking. I think Brooks/Marshall combo would be more fluent. Possibly even Gamble after his good showing, but i wouldn't rush into that. Reynolds is an effort player and the best "effort" position is hooker. However, his passing from there was not good. He will be the 6, but i fear it will be to the detriment of the team.

I saw Brooks as our best, with Gamble not far behind. Reynolds normally puts in the effort, but watching him not dive on the ball that Thurston then soccered up field for a try was lacking in it.

Yeh i saw Brooks performance as a real positive start for him. Yes his most disapointing aspect of his game was a again down, but the rest was really good IMO. Fine tuning that short kicking game is a big priority now. I think he will get there.

Very impressed with Gamble. Big and strong, was talking a lot, took the line on well and has a boot on him. Would seriosly watch his progress over the next month.

I also like Lolohea at fullback. He is definately a running player rather then a 6\. So powerful.

I've said in many threads what i thought of Esarn. He has to start. We will score so many tries off his offloads. Its almost a shame to waste him outwide. He would kill it at right backrow. But happy to have him in the centres for now as its a weakness he can strengthen.

I have to agree with you KS. I thought Brooks' game was good and he was a constant threat with his pace and elusiveness. Gamble looks a talent and our problem will be holding onto him when the Qld clubs come calling.

Marsters is a talent and a player who consistently breaks the line and unloads. Extend his contract quickly. Mikaele and JJ are fine young talents to go with ALex Twal. I also enjoy watching Eisenhuth.

You can add sezer to that list

Probably right. Brooks has more talent than Sezer but plays at a similar level. It’s danger signs after a full offseason he kicks for 3 x 7 tackle sets. Time will tell Brooks destiny have that drive to be better it looks like.

Yep, correct.

Cool thanks. I'm guessing Fonua was being punished for ill discipline but not sure why Reynolds would be there.

more likely he didn't get the minutes he needed so was told to do some 'extras' to make up for it.

It would carry a little weight in my mind if they did it off their own bat

He may have. Indeed, it is probable that he did do it on his own volition.

Was last night a semi final? or was it the FIRST run these players have had in months?

A bit early for putting the boot in don't you think?

:bash

5 games before slipper comes out imo. Unless someone has 2 real shockers

Re: brooks short kicking game last night - the in goal at the ground last night was supposedly a few metres shorter than an NRL in goal, as noted by the commentators a few times during the live stream

Edit: just checked and the in goals at barlow park are 7m

Lol, thanks for the laugh pal.

Don't see what was so funny about Geo's comment? You are easily amused or have a mild case of butthurt. Johnathan Thurston didn't do much last night, looked like he was wrapped in cotton wool.. Brooks was up and down but outplayed him in a trial game.

Just out of curiosity Sg and Geo can you rate 1 - 16 of current halfbacks for this yr. Also is your listing stats based or on what you have seen.
Thurston Cronk Cherry Evans Johnson Peirce Cleary Hunt Moses Brooks Reynolds Townsend Sezer Nikorima Taylor Mbye Croft
From what I've seen

After the trial i can confidently say masters and milne are my centre paring. Masters kust needs early ball.

Good point. That's one think that stood out to me. Rather than the halves running to the line and passing there (like early last year). They mostly either gave early ball or took on the line.
