Two very bad week centres. No wonder the Manly centre scored three tries. There was no defence in either of the tries.

I actually thought, apart from the bullet he threw to Ken, that Mbye added something in attack when he came on. (Don't get me wrong I'm not a fan of his at all).
Laurie's timing in A is hit and miss and Brooks made a couple of errors tonight. Liddle was good at times but just doesn't seem to have the stamina to play at that level for all 80 mins, unlike some of the leading dhs in the comp. Also needs to run a little further into the line when coming off a quicker ptb.
Our A was really poor at times tonight with no players wanting the ball, no bodies in motion, guys just standing around watching and not supporting. Our kick chase was crap and no effort to chase a kick and play at it.
Injuries didn't help us. Take away the soft tries we let in and the opportunities we threw away and there was not much in it. I suppose that's the difference between a team that puts in the effort and intent to win, and us.

got mauled on our edges - yet again. Pauga aint up for it - another schocker from Talau. TBH though - they have better middle forwards, edge forwards backs and spine. Lose two forwards and this result was inevitable. certainly wasn't lack of effort today. Having no back rower on the bench backfired though. Need two middles, backrower and utility. Joffa tried hard but isn't up to 60 mins at backrow.

They were two of our best tonight, behind Doueihi.

I’ll go with Liddle and Doueihi but Brooks came up short again.
Few good glimpses early but couldn’t get us a try with 4 sets on their line then missed tackles and threw some shocking passes the rest of the game .
Not blaming him for the loss but we need a change.

Seems our club is in a perpetual state of inertia. The defence does not improve. We have very good young players but the coaching team doesn't appear to be up to it. We are so beaten down we expect to lose rather than expect more of those in charge of our defence.

So many times we ran in circles, backwards, sideways with no structure. Execution was poor and predictable. I don’t get it when we say we are training really well but we can’t reproduce that on game day. It’s like we train at first grade level and play at reggies level.

Really great effort tonight. Paugua not up to it but he is our 5th choice left centre. Other then that we put it to them with only 1 bloke on bench in 2nd half.

Heartily agree. That was a great advantage to Manly. No wonder Manly happily passed the swiftly ball around throughout the second half.

Catch ....draw ....pass

I've never seen a backline so incompotent at using numbers to attack an opposition defence

I reckon we had at least 7/8 chances if the ball carrier simply straightens and draws his man

Tommy ...have a chat to your old man about it

And our D .....if we stay on the front foot .....Tommy can't do anything ...you crush the sucker from inside out and tell him to get used to it

Manly are a good side ...I get it ...but we let them off the hook so often tonight .......RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Too many cut out passes that the defence read, instead of using the numerical advantage and getting the them static.
Oh well...we put 20+ on them...if only we could defend...?

It's an Under 14 skill ...catch ...draw and pass

Another young skill ...the minute you see a receiver like Turbo stop watching the line to watch the ball ...you crunch him ......at the very least you force him inside to get cleaned up by your forwards

DCE try .....instead of Laurie hitting his legs ...you hit him just above the hip to give the defender going high that extra split millisecond .......

Why can't our coaching staff teach this stuff ....or more to the point ...why can't out blokes make these calls ...it should be 2nd nature .....

I think we need a quality centre which joey hasnt provided for 2 seasons, so its requitment in trusting Joey would do a job
