Wests Tigers v Manly Rd 14 *Spoilers

The only positive is this is the team that Madge picked before he got sacked right ?
Sooo noddy will finally pick his Side next Tuesday right ?
🤣

Hastings played alright in the first half we looked likely plenty of times. Second half no half could play well behind our pack. They were truly woeful. Joe O and Twal a pass.

Funny that Liddle seems really missed by his absence the last few weeks. Gives the halvrs time and structure was strong in defense and won 2 penalties for us.

Even when we beat the Dogs we went downhill when he came off.

I don't know how many guys are carrying injuries because these SH capitulations seem to hint at that.

Someone mentioned Aloai. He couldn't hold the ball with us.

And Stefano was signed to provide that big body muscle up front that Manly showed...but sadly not putting in when playing.

Seyfarth looks to have lost confidence and mongrel. Has been shunted around technically this year and isn't experienced enough to handle it. Guys like him need to be developed with a clear focus.

It might not have been pretty but it was only 6-4 Manly’s way before brooks switched to #9 and madden went to 6. I think that experiment should be done and dusted forever
I saw that as the turning point of the game. I thought we had the best of the first 50min with our left hand side constantly creating trouble for Manly. We completely weakened that side with both attack and defence after the change.

F me.
If you couldn’t see that our forwards can’t play to NRL level standard when we were blown away by Souths reserve pack surely you’d get the picture after that game.
The answer get rid of the one character that shows a backbone, the will and desire to turn the club around.
Oh and great to see Sheens finally showing up to do his Head of football role sitting in the box for the first time this year.

If you think this is Madge "The answer get rid of the one character that shows a backbone, the will and desire to turn the club around." forget it.

2022 = 2021. The only thing that improved was Hastings adding structure to our attack.
What did Madge change? Nothing. Not a thing.
Oh but he is trying, ... It's not working! 2023 will be the same soft defense and more walking back.

I was hoping with Cayless we would see our team try at defense. All I have seen is Garner and Thomas M leave...

Many coaches have tried really hard. I would take Dean Pay, Paul McGregor even Rick Stone (thinking people who tried hard and got fired). All improved their teams substantially more then Madge has here. Wait there is a guy called Shane Flanagan who tried hard and took Cronulla from 16 -> 1.

Madge was trying, sure. It wasn't working.
