Don’t know about that, Liddell played first up when everyone was fresh, but not arguing that Simpkin didn’t play well.

It's a great problem to have, I think both played pretty well. Liddle for 9 and Simpkins 14 for me. Dummy half running is both of their strengths, so if we can rotate them correctly, keeping them fresh - they should keep the opposition on edge all game.

Tuilagi in jersey 22, Mikaele in 25, both looked good.

Yeah worked it out when I saw his face ....that body wasn't attached to that face in 2020

TBH, I thought he went to the line and no one went with him because he was that quick. I'm happy, at this stage, to take either. Although I think Liddle is the much better starting option for the first 60, then Simpkins fo rthe last 20.

Lol have I ever engaged with you on anything? I’m giving my opinion, could be proved wrong. I don’t know everything. I hope liddle kills it but I think Simpkin is better. Is that ok with you?

My key takeaways from today...

Laurie to either play 1 or 6 in round 1 but either way he's FG material;
Madden needs more time in NSW Cup;
AD has a very good passing game and a spiral bomb which would make Pat Richards proud;
Starting forward pack were very good, Lucy was unstoppable and looks fit and hungry;
JTJ will be a great asset;
Tuki Simpkins and Tuilagi should be upgraded to the top 30;
Liddle and Simpkins both looked very good and are sharp out of dummyhalf - win/win situation for me;
Brooks looks to be a different player without Benji and was effective probing both sides of the field and his goalkicking was good too;
Starting left winger could well be AJ with Talau playing NSW Cup.

Agree with everything you said, however I’d still probs have Talau on the wing over AJ tho

I have a little different out look then most.
We were excellent however I don't think garner is the answer. He was his usual self for mine solid but has some real poor passages of play. The rest of the starting pack looked very good. Impressed buy joffa.
Liddle and simpkins will be in a fight all yeah both look very solid imo.
Madden looks good but personally I think he's a year away.
Tuki will be a very good forward but I also feel with our depth there is no need to rush him.
We have an excellent centre set up with bj, jtj and talau. Talau for mine is still the odd one out though.

And while I'm his biggest critic it was excellent to see Brooks put his mark on the game. A seasons worth of that and I think we all will be happy.

Just needs to back himself, when he did take the run himself he poked through the line.
