Didnt talau play in the halves in younger grades? I would have him at 5/8 over Madden. our halves look to be the biggest weakness in that team.

I think Talau will play five eighth and is a strong chance of playing there round 1 if Madge doesn’t think Madden will be able to handle it defensively against the Raiders giants OR if Laurie shows he can handle fullback then Mbye may play 6 against Canberra if fit.

How does Tyrone Roberts get a second chance but blokes like Cooper and Allan Fitz don't?

Was my first thought also, might just be the fact that he has NRL experience?? Don't know, but not reading too much into it.
My second thought was AJ over Talau on the wing, probably a good choice if we are trying to increase backline speed.

Last week's game was basically a CC trial Allan Fitz made a couple of bad defensive choices I'd say he's a work in progress and his time will come via CC

Kepaoa on the wing is excellent, was basing my info off Wacko's Whispers who said Talau had already won the wing spot, thankfully not the case. Madge clearly giving nothing away in terms of what the bench could look like round 1 which is a bit unfortunate, that said clearly opening it up for players to perform and earn their spot. should be good!!

I see that Josh Aloiai is off the bench and Tim Simona is in the centres for the Blacktown Workers before the NRL trial.

Shame he did what he did as he could have been anything. I also notice that Manly like a few sides have a few old tigers, Tapau, Paseka, Sironen, Aloiai and Suli in their squad.

Yeah agree, he is super raw, looked awful under every high ball (on attack and defence) but he's got plenty of time to get better should he choose to put in the work.
