Reynolds all heart but like always, not a heap of skill. Kicking game pretty ordinary and his long passes are not crisp.

Doueihi looking good. Musgrove, Reynolds, Madden, Leilua doing well too. Matheson Johns did really well until getting binned that was really stupid.

How good was McQueen !?

Can’t say I saw much of him - I’m at the game so not getting a great look at everyone. McIntyre played with a lot of intent I thought

The last 10 minutes of the first half was very scrappy but I think the energy has been good and I've liked what I've seen from a few players. Matheson Johns looks a likely prospect, AD has been safe, Walters has looked good at 9 and defends well and Talau has had a couple of classy touches. Musgrove looks alright and Cini is dangerous in broken play.

Agree. These were the best players for mine. Musgrove was really good defensively, made some good runs but maybe needs a few miles in the legs. McQueen was really good when he was on alot of huge hits and good runs. Also think Lucy is settling in well on the right. Happy with his work rate.

McQueen was the worst on the field.

Mate he completely shut down the Panthers right edge. And got us going forward with the ball too.

Liking that Maguire is utilising Elijah even more so in the link player role than he was late in the season.

Johns shows plenty of aggression and happy to get that penalty out of the way in a trial. Looked at home in the centres tonight and his partner Talau back to life after sleeping at the sevens.

Lucy very good fit and will reek havoc with BJ outside him
Hoffman looked strong
Johns was good till the brain snap - siogn him up Nadge
Talau and Cini OK but no real clear ball had to go looking for it. Musgrave was First Grade material
Clark also sold
MAdden busy but I felt he got in the way
Doukhicky was worth every cent
But the stand Out was Billy Walters

I know it’s a trial , but based on this and last season Douehi >>>> Thommo . Hopefully Thommo gets the 2 . Not just the cutout ball. Positioning, stands on tackles . He’s a presence out there . You don’t miss him .
