@happy_tiger Brooks took way too long to assert himself in that regard.

He is lucky to get his hands on the ball. Our senior players are still living in 2005

Yes it would be nice to see him get involved before the 75th minute.

@happy_tiger
I kept thinking, they cant get through inside the twenty, surely they can see that and need to set up some breaks from outside the 20.

My issue in the 2nd half is we literally through nothing at Canberra once we got in their 20

2nd half was improved but the damage was done

I said in the game thread, our halves were terrible, Brooks livened up with 10 to go, but it was too late. We had 40 odd tackles in the 20, with only 2 tries to show, and bugger all forced drop outs

Still proud Wests Tigers. The second half was very close to the best defensive half all season. Very heartened by our youngsters tonight notably Garner and Momorovski. I hope that Madge can clearly see that our path forward in first grade is with our youth. Another bright spot was how Brooks unleashed himself, ran flat out and took some responsibilty.
P.S. 1 to Madge - we still need a real fullback. Neither Thompson or MBye will ever cut it in that position..
P.S. 3. to Madge - It time to let Liddle of Farah's apron strings and let him a full game at dummy half/hooker.
P.S. 3 It's time to let all the old players (you know who I mean) on the way to the future careers what may be. We can't get new semi-class players until they go.

At half time I was sure the score was going to blow out to 60. We certainly improved our approach to the game in the second half, but once again school boy errors killed all momentum that we created over and over again.
Steals, drop balls, poor passes, kicking into touch, dumb penalties - just poor respect for the ball and lazy efforts.
I have supported Farah most of the season but tonight he was so slow with his dummy half play. Brooks stepped up for 10 minutes and Mbye did the same. Twal tried hard but is not breaking the line. Aloiai looked more likely than any others in our pack. Huth is so average and Lawrence is struggling. I have been disappointed in Materson lately, he seems to be going through the motions a bit for a guy who looked awesome earlier in the season. Maybe he got sick of being one of the only forwards that was putting in!

Two positives from the game were - Mbye's goal kicking and Momo looked better on the wing than Jennings has.

This was my concern I expressed in the Reynolds thread, Benji is interfering with Brooks game, it is a big reason I want him to retire

@Demps losing Mikaele might’ve just been game for us... at the time
So comical that Huth takes out our most explosive prop with no other replacements in sight on the bench. My one criticism of Madge would be that Clarke and ET in tandem would’ve really stopped Canberra’s role. Farah needed to be off well before half time, we were already edging our way ever so slightly back into it. Bring him back on with Liddle at start of 2nd half and see who’s performing better (issue the call to Farah for Liddle to take over)... didn’t seem like any of these thoughts went through coaches mind . We need a good lock though and somebody that deadset stops blokes in their tracks/contains the offload ... Marty where r u

I don’t know what to make of all that. Happy we stuck in there for so long and didn’t roll over. Disappointed we lost the game effectively in the opening 10 minutes.

@851

Liddle does stuff all and get all the praise on here.

What about Farah good kicks and all the good work he does.

Liddle comes in and throws the worst pass I’ve even seen and people call for him to play the 80 he done one good thing all year.

What game are you referring to?

@851 and the same can be said the Farah and Liddle situation ! The team will never evolve until there gone .

I couldn’t agree more, we need to get on with the future, and that doesn’t involve Farah and Benji, and a few others
