Wests tigers Vs Sharks round 1

Bang on LaT. Sheens tried to instill discipline into him and failed. What hope does Shane Flanagan have? I predict he'll have two big games next year, and they'll be against us.

If Flanagan uses him as a starting prop he will struggle, he doesn't have the motor that a big minute prop requires. Time will only tell I suppose.

CB He will only have a big game against us if we let him Someone hits him hard early he will go MIA

I am more concerned about Bryce Gibbs He will be out to bait a few of our younger guys and give it to Blair

lol Happy… Gibbs is a Westie. They love to put there hands up, but have no idea how to use em...

I'll put my coin on Blair any day of the week!!!

I meant verbally Watto

With Gallen ,Jeremy Smith ,Tupou etc as back up should be a cracker of match anyway

This won't be a show up and belt them victory We are going to have show up 100% and earn it no doubt

For all off you people who dont know who is Andrew Fifita is, watch this

I actually expect him to have a blinder against us..

Awesome can't wait to embarrass the sharks and hopefully shut Phil rothfield up for a while. Massive tool.

I'd like to see his highlights from 2011.

He is certainly a great prospect. But he isn't worth the contract he supposedly wanted. He still has a long way to go. He isn't the guy you build a forward pack around. I am glad we concentrated on Woods/Groat as the next gen props, and we still have BMM/Begovich who will be struggling for for a bench spot.

Remember him now ,doesn't work to get us out of our own half and when he tries runs 30 metres sideways and the gloryhound only runs straight and hard when he is near the try line

That sums him up pretty well

Other difference he won't be working off Farah,Marshall and Lui at the sharks either

Ahh yes,the added bonus of beating them.

Fifita is a good player. I don't think he's yet graduated past being an impact bench player, but he has never had the chance. I see him as a bit of a Bronson Harrison, Jeff Lima sort of player who will do well away from this club. I'm not too upset about losing him because we have a very strong forward pack, but I think this talk about Fifita needing to grow up are more a response to the fact he is no longer at our club rather than based on anything he actually did at the tigers. His play was fairly disciplined, he worked hard on the field and he never seemed to play half hearted (like Ben Te'o). In fact his problem was usually that he tried too hard. He also is a player who was forced out rather than a player who wanted to leave, so I don't think we should be hammering him.

I hope he goes well at the sharks (though hopefully not against us).

Well it's about time we got the Sharks first up. Seems like forever we have been playing them on or near the last round. I look forward to the clash with Gibbs and Fifita - should be interesting.

I'm more looking forward to Gibbs having a good game and that muppet hypocrite Rothfield doing a backfilp of astronomical proportions by singing his praises in the Monday paper. This comes on the back of course of 9 years of constantly labelling him as a fringe first grader and how he wouldn't get a start in a Sharks jersey.

To be fair Happy, De Gois and Carney are no slouches and Robson will be great foil for Carney IMO.

It is everything to do with how he acted and reacted during the year. He is still a rookie for the most part, he has allot to learn on and off the field. If it was just about how he is no longer with us, then you would see Gibbs cop the same treatment.

The difference between Gibbs and Fifita is largely down to the maturity of Gibbs. Not that Gibbs didn't have a few digs via FB/twitter, but he never let it effect his effort or performance to the same degree Fifita did.

There is a good chance Fifita will be a star, he has the skill and body to do it, but honestly there is still the possibility he could go the other way if he doesn't learn from this whole experience.

Again, bang on. If he doesn't change his attitude, he'll be more likely to end up like Daine Laurie than Artie Beetson.

You are spot on CB about buzz bein a hypocrite. He wanted Carney sent to jail six months ago now Todd is god.

Watersider, Fifita 'could' be anything but he will need to stop playing for himself. Until he learns to play 'with' and 'for' the TEAM, not many coaches will give him many chances…

If Fifita continues as he did in 2011 then he'll be lucky to last 10 minutes before needing oxygen. I see great potential in the boy, but there are lots of great young players who find the discipline of high level sport too hard, and I got that impression of him throughout the season (even before he signed with the Sharks). No inside info, just what I observed.

His last games for us were his worst.

Watching the Bonstonkers video reminded me of what a good raw talent he was -granted the highlights were 2010 only.

Watching him towards the end of his tenure-ship with us reminded me how far has has to go with attitude, fitness and discipline. His last good game for us was the loss to Souths 29-18 where he very nearly single handedly got us back in the game.

I honestly don't think the Sharkies will give him the discipline he so desperately needs, HOWEVER judging by his twitter feed he has a steady girlfriend who he is head over heels for - SHE could be the one who gets his head screwed on straight…

Biggest laugh would be Flanagan dropping him for the first game for disciplinary reasons...
