I took a screenshot but then the website suffered a 502 error and shut down before I could send it. As it was late, I didn't reload it.

But basically, it is a blank screen with a wide narrow window at the top saying that there is a problem with the page and it needs to be reloaded. Sometimes it can happen a few times in a row while scrolling the same thread and eventually comes up with a fatal error and shuts the browser down.

The site works fine on my desktop but it is a real pain on the Ipad which is my only Apple device. It happens on almost every thread I open which makes browsing super slow.

Interesting, I use an old iPad and Ive never seen that before! What kind do you use?

Will do. It's some years old now, but has only ever been used for browsing (mainly the Forum!!!) and never had an issue.

When creating the new topic, click the settings icon (last one in the row looks like a cog) and under there is the option to add a poll.

So I've just tested this site on two physical iPads and two iPad simulators and they've checked out.

When did this start?

Can we first try a simple cache clearing in Safari. Note that this will log you out of any websites you've signed into.

1\. Open the Settings app, and scroll down to the fifth group of options (with Passwords & Accounts at the top). Tap Safari at the bottom of this group.
2\. Scroll down again and tap 'Clear History and Website Data'.
3\. Tap 'Clear History and Data'.

Taking a guess I’d say this has nothing to do with the new forum as such. Maybe server related? This actually used to happen to me occasionally on the old forum when browsing on my iPhone. Remember it mostly occurring on larger threads. I haven’t had this happen on the new one yet though.

It’s good to see that so many others have had issues with this new forum. Maybe “good” isn’t the right word, sorry.

When I first posted the problems I was having so many were quick to reply that they were fine so it must be just me. I’ve been reading Kul’s replies and some fixes being made and I saw that the number of ads were being reduced by 20%, I think it was, the posts don’t jump around as much anymore - thank you.

As I write this post on my iphone it is behaving but a recent post I made took about 10 minutes to type as there was about a 2 second delay between typing a letter and it coming up on the screen.

I have also seen replies from someone saying to download Adblocker to fix some problems but I am on a number of different forums and they are all fine and yes, they have many ads too. That tells me it is/was this forums problem.

I do appreciate Kul’s efforts on improving this new site, so thank you Kul. I’m not one to sit at a computer for hours and post then wait eagerly for someone to respond, hence why I use my iphone. I usually post, get off the phone and do something else - like now.
