What an utter disgrace.....

What annoys me is that everytime I hear Sheens in a post match PC he always talks about our injuries.

We currently have three players out - a winger, a second rower (albeit a huge loss) and today we lost McKinnon. (I don't include Tuiaki and Moltzen as they are long term).

Three injuries is not a huge toll at this stage of the season. It is not an excuse.

He also mentioned they were too big and too strong, as did Simmons before the game, predicting they'd play us up the middle.
Masterstroke.

I thought that was funny and then complained that he had too many young players in the team, but when it came to the injury front, said that he doesn't have 5 forwards waiting to come back from injury, and Skando is hardly the answer. As far as forwards go, the Tigers have placed a lot of faith in the youth this year, no point in Sheens complaining about that now.

What i don't understand, and what no-one has mentioned in any post that i have read, is why do we CONSTANTLY run back into the markers, time and time again !!!

And if we don't do that, then we are CONSTANTLY throwing the inside ball, that is so obvious that we get nowhere. Nothing frustrates me more than the slow inside passes off the play the ball. Its so god damn obvious to the other team !

And i will probably get blasted for saying this, but i am so over Benji. I have been over him for a couple of years. Yes he has flashes of brilliance, but i would prefer a lot more simple plays out of him.

And by crikey we need a new goal kicker. I'm almost at the stage that I HOPE Benji gets injured so we can see who steps up to the mark to take the goal kicks !

Don't get me wrong, i love watching the Tigers play, but my hair is slowly getting thinner and greyer lately !!

Yeh bro you aint alone there

Nice substance Innk…

It's basically to suck in defenders so then we can spin it wide and let Benji do his thing....

You know that side to side thing that looks so good....

I think it is probably an utter disgrace to call this an utter disgrace. Whilst we didn't play well today by any stretch of the imagination, there was effort there, and mistakes coming from people trying things. We shot ourselves in the foot a few times, particularly in the second half when we could have put the shakes through Manly, and didn't make the most of our opportunities. Honestly I think we just got bashed around a bit today by a mongrel pack, and Ellis would have made a massive difference, if anything just to attitude and confidence in the team, as would have McKinnon. If we can get those two back, and have Ryan on the right wing soon, then we will have no excuses.

Just on Benji's kicking too, people bag the absolute daylights out of him for this facet of the game, one which just 2 weeks ago against the Titans won us the game…..Sure he hasn't been going great, but rarely if ever has his goal-kicking cost us a game, it certainly has won us a game, but never cost us one. Today he missed one gettable kick, and two from touch, yet he is still crucified for this. When he misses one from in-front, then I will worry about goal-kicking. I don't think there is a better option anyway, because as they said Lawrence really isn't practicing, and to give him the job now would not only shatter Benji's confidence, but put too much pressure on Lawrence as well.

I agree with you ron. The goal line defense was pathetic and showed that we are not going to win games based on our defense. And again we are struggling to score over 20 points which is a concern running into the finals. We desperately need to sort out our attack or we'll be in another dogfight with Cronulla on Saturday. And when we keep using plonkers like Skandalis and Fitzhenry, we should expect nothing more than a slap in the face like we got today. I hate saying this but against Souths I have a feeling it'll be much like last time, line breaks galore, missed tackles and loads of points. We will make the finals, but from there, I don't know how much further we'll get.

We could have won today if benji ran hard and straight towards the line to assist the go forward. the go forawrd was poor because our halves, especially Benji did not assist in running to the line.

We looked good when we had them back peddeling thats why they held us down in the ruck.

Benji must run to the line.

Yeah thats the theorey but all it really achieves is telegraphing our play and getting our forwards smashed. I believe we have one of the toughest packs in the comp as they get smashed week in, week out mainly due to these inside balls and this play.

today was so frustrating to watch. we actually had a chance to win the game when we were down by 10\. we gave them way too much ball in our own half and they punished us every single time. if we can have a little bit more respect for the ball, we'll win a lot more games.

i dont know why robbie has to always run 10 metres across field before dropping it off…it gives the defence time to rush up.....like first hit up of the game payten gets it out to the 20...second tackle is 22 metres out because of this....it happens way to often

It was not an utter disgrace. Manly played extremely well and was practically at full strength.

The opponent and the loss was exactly what the team needed. A kick in the pants 5 weeks out from the semis.

I see it as a positive match, it was tough, we leaked points but we kept coming at them all day. Tigers need to keep playing these games to get better. It just highlights the importance of winning all those close games. Just like the Dragons, it will teach us a few things and we should make adjustments to our game plan accordingly, the point is to learn from games like this.

Manly played a powerful game today and i thought they were impressive. Just need to hold the defence line better. And work as a collective team. We got dominated and still scored 20, I think that says something too.

Cheers

Wow, well done Ron, last week you make a goose of yourself by writing how glad you were we were getting pumped AT HALF TIME, and the boys came back and got the win. At least this week you waited til the end of the game before writing your standard rant.

As an aside, how did that 'puss' and 'heartless tool' Galloway play today? I thought he was probably close to our best.
You really have no clue do you?
