What can we do to help?

We are obviously all passionate Tiger's supporters who boasts varying skills, networks and experiences. I am thinking, can we as forum members -rather than engaging in idle and generally uninformed gossip and commentary(but always interesting and informative) - do something tangible to help our club become a sustained powerhouse?

For example can we choose something that we think the club is not focussing adequately on (or ask the club areas if they need help). Maybe something like regional membership drives. I think the club underestimates how popular the club is. I for mine would love to develop a north coast group where we can congregate for games, use as fund raisers etc. we can hold the first at my restaurant where I will put on the food and we can watch the game.

Thoughts?

Larrycorowa, great idea and should be appreciated, especially your generousity..I myself live in the Southern Highlands of NSW and the Tigers are pretty popular out here..Mostly when I can I go to Campbelltwn to watch our games when possible,I also joined the Wests Leagues Club as I presume they also fund the WTs and have many a family function there when possible..Without being nosey where in the North Coast are you,I would take a weekend up there just to meet you and enjoy your wonderful part of the world,I have been to Coffs about 6/7 times and love it there…

Where abouts on the central coast is your restaurant mate? What's the name of it?

A couple of TPA's through your restaurant LC

Can't the forum be a third party sponsor for a player? Maybe the forum should unite and bring a player across. if the forum could raise 100k..being unrealistic though. Each person puts in one thousand if you are willing.

I live in Brunswick heads which is 15m north of byron bay. I know there would be a big following on the Gold Coast and at the brisbane game we often hav a crowd that almost rivals the broncos.

I went to the Gold Coast function prior to the game this year, but think this was small time thinking by the club.we must have some powerful supporters up in this areas that just need to be mobilised.

In the afl they go all,out with these things….dinners, player appearances, game day lunches, talks by support staff at halftime, premium seats. We did cold party pies and most attendees were members who travelled from sydney....we can do much better

The problem is no players go to the functions on the Gold Coast prior to game day LC

My kids don't want to talk to JT or the support staff

No reasons injured players can't attend.

Plus I would be more inclined to contribute $$$$ if I knew the $$$$ we're going to something that was going to bring a sustained benefit to the club. Not funding an end of season trip to bali.

I like the way souths are taking games to the country. This involves lots of community work. Which regional areas are we concentrating on?

You nailed it. How bout this.

Tiger Country, an annual event where we take a game or two on the road. We could help them facilitate local sponsors to foot the bill in exchange for one off shirt sponsorships. The special edition shirts auctioned off for local initiatives in that area supporting grassroots footy.

Larry I'm in  , so is Underdog haven't checked with him but his in  .

I live 25 minutes from you Larry and would be more than happy to do such thing as a get together .

I can open a Bank account as the Wests Tigers Forum and i will kick it off with $100.00 and will add the contributions from Forum Members with receipts and any interest earned and post it on here with balances of how much is in the Kitty . Then we can have a Poll where the money should go to benefit the Club.
Don't know trying to come up with something
