What can we do with Lodges $$$

Luke Page is probably the best off contract bargain basement front rower. Lodge would not have been on much.

Sign Halatau and Page and hope someone like Chance Peni can grab outside back role with both hands. If not, go for Whare hard in 2017.

What is going to happen with Lodge?, I understand his father is on his way to NYC to try and bail him out but what if he is convicted to 4-5 in the Penitentary, who will be there to rehabilitate him when he's done his time, it certainly won't be Dave Smith.

Despite both parents being serving Police Officers it appears that they have failed to keep him on the straight and narrow and have spent a lot of their hard earned $$$ keeping out of the lockup, many similarities here to Matthew Newton.

He's not happy with a million bucks over two years, what's the chicken feed Lodge was likely on going to help any?

Lodge was on $175k per year and he is contracted to us for 2016\. Effectively if we increase his contract next year by $175k which, only WT can we can then give him another 3 years increased by $175k p.a. therefore a contract of $725k p.a. It comes down to what we are prepared to pay but we are close to manly money if WT do this.

Why on earth would we pay Marty 725k a season?

Front load him was my point. Up his small contract by $175k - $350k next year or deny his release and he can wait until 2017\. It all adds up.

Who's to say, we have already spent his money? Maybe the two boys from QL. Wasn't he leaving anyways? But if there is left over money i would try have a shot at Willis Meehan..

Still think Adam Docker is worth a gamble even though our Forum members have reported he is one head knocked from retirement. Hits like a Mac Truck and we need forwards.
