What club would you have been angry about amalgamating with

Geography wise Wests and Bulldogs should've merged and Balmain and Norths merged, with new grounds at Liverpool and Macquarie Park/North Ryde.

Black, white and blue. Wests Bulldogs
Black, gold and red. North Tigers

Then Parra and Penrith merged with games at Blacktown , could've called the the Chimeras


Manly to be punted to the coast (sun or central, meh)
Sharks merged with Adelaide.
Roosters and Souths merged together to be called the bankers


All this post is fantasy more or less. I'm more than happy with Wests Tigers :sign: :supporter:

Kind off topic a little, but how were the poor old Bears, a foundation club allowed to be treated the way they were and killed off like they were, Disgraceful. Also a disgrace that League lost one of the best grounds in the competition in North Sydney Oval

I was asking how they were allowed to get kicked to the curb like they were. Nothing about saying they should be brought back.

Besides, there could be a couple less Sydney teams soon in us and the Sharks if things continue.

Wests Panthers would have been ideal geographically (and colours) but WT suits being both 1908 clubs and inner west origins.

Parramatta Tigers - interesting brand mixing with colours. Stadium and geographically ideal.

Wests/Western Bulldogs - no way. AFL naming confliction there also. More geographically ideal than WT.

If gosford stadium was ready in the mid 90s then we may have seen central coast tigers

Proposal for East Coast Tigers (gold coast + balmain + easts brisbane merger) would have been interesting..

In the early 90s Sydney City Stallions was mooted.. Souths + eastern suburbs + balmain

Perhaps if Wests moved to Perth the Western Australia Magpies (before WA reds) may have been a smart move with history and new market (and still be called wests)

We always wonder.. What If?
