What do we need?

a coach that is old enough to pass on experience - a coach who can handle the ammunition he has at his disposal. A coach that does not goes missing for half a game. The 2nd half only proved that Melbourne have a mental edge over us - not a physical one. I don't know about you - but if that be the case - then we still have a chance in this comp. And secondly a coach who has lived through a winning streak, moreover a winning streak of more then 2 games on a consistent basis - that would really be appreciated.

Coz it was Taylor's coaching that let Melbourne score off a pass that was 2 metres forward, Taylor coached us to kick restarts out on the full, Taylor's coaching that forced one of our players to throw a crap wayward pass that let to Koroibete going 85 metres to score….....
Taylor is far from a great coach but the players need to take the ultimate responsibility: they are supposed to be elite not half-witted children playing OzTag in the park. Too easy to use the coach as a scapegoat for every pathetic thing that occurs within our club, once the players are on the field they need to step up and show some grit, fortitude and intelligence.

A coach that doesn't pick a specialist lock forward at hooker. The same player through a bunch of poor passes from that position that cost us big.

It's interesting how you miss that point which was pretty significant against Melbourne.

Why is that interesting? Have you mentioned all the reasonable points FTB made every time you've slagged off the coach?

I think we need hard hitting forwards someone that can stop people at the line. Some serious mo :deadhorse: ngrel

Plenty of times.

Whoever kicked that ball out on the full from the kickoff needs to be told if you ever do that again you have automatic 6 weeks playing 80 mins at prop in nsw cup. Who did it by the way?

Reminds me of my staff. Get back from some time off and the plates are not clean. So I look at the washing detergent and it is empty, so my staff hav been serving customers on dirty plates. So I say to the dishy your job is to clean the plates, how do you expect to do this with No detergent, you have been told this before, I won't be telling you this again. Just shows they haven't got their mind on the job. But I won't be telling this person again, they even get it or they don't.

I think it was Brooks, so automatically no punishment will even be considered
Ironically it was one of his best games for a fair while.

1) Ryan James - supposedly he's a Tigers fan and he's an absolute gem of a player. Should / will someday play for NSW & Australia.

2) Abraham Papalii - Currently at the roosters, NZ junior - will toughen our pack up a bit IMO. Looking to lock down a first grade position somewhere.

3) Nathan Brown - return of one of our lost sons. Already close with the playing group, was a bit of a fat slob when he was here in the past … Now is a tackle machine. Aggressive player and will surely toughen our pack that is widely considered to be soft.

4) Kelepi Tanginoa - Has the size. I'd have Mr. Sue take him under his wing as an apprentice and turn him into the hard hitter that we need (ala Taumalolo)

5) Tony Satini - He's at Manly, playing NSW cup.... Too good for that, reminds me a bit of Simona who also wasted away for a while in state cup which he too was far too good for.

Demps. I like your scouting on these players.Satini was released by Manly so looking for a contract.
Papali and Tanginoa are also in our budget and both powerhouses.

So do I TYGA, but unfortunately our recruitment manager get does his scouting from his living room with Foxtel remote in hand.

I can understand if you don't like Taylor but,
He won 9 straight to get Parra to the semis in his first season.
He is older than Ricky Stuart, Tim Sheens, Michael Maguire, Michael Hagan, Paul Green etc were when they won grand finals.

Like most, I'm not expecting any great signings. I'm hoping for smart purchases lie Aoliai, Taupau etc., a few young blokes to step up and a good defensive coach. I'm praying for a decent winger.

Sorry, just realised how old that post was. Not trying to dredge up the past.

I don't think we need any great signings but we do need some smart signings. We really need a winger though and I'd love a quality one.

It really shouldn't be that hard to get one that's half decent.

Thanks for the compliment my man…
There is a lot of these moneyball type signings around, we just have to seek them out...
The mentioned guys are possible Blake Austin / Martin Taupau signings - cheap, explosive and potential superstars.

Brown is off to Parra supposedly but like you mentioned Satini and Papali are both on the market.
Worth a play.

Penrith might now see Tyrone Peachey as their long-term centre so Peta Hiku and Dean Whare could be potential signing opportunities. Plus they have a tonne of juniors coming through, let's pick the eyes outta them.
Paul Vaughn couldn't get a start again for the Raiders last night- he is young, big, fast and mobile. Would be a great signing.
IMO the time has come for WT to start cherrypicking other clubs' proven talent (if we have the cash and TPA's to do so), blooding juniors and then watching them get picked up by other clubs sucks.

Sick of seeing a 'throw in the towel' approach which has been a part of our club for far too long now and was again evident this season - however Taylor is the man and if he has even 200k aside to sign a decent centre back-up id be doing that (needs to kick). Or give Moses the reigns for all kicking aspects as brooks needs to find another gear with his running game..

Hard running Gareth Ellis type back rower
Hard Running Shannon Boyd Prop
Above Average Justin Hodges type centre

And a bit more mongrel from the rest , a never say die attitude
