What does it take for a vet to get dropped?

Serious question....

**For our senior players, what would it actually take to get dropped...**

LL = massive hole on D, his edge exploited every week...never dropped.

Mbye = literally did not try last game. The Adam Reynolds try was farcically bad. Body language screams I don't care...always in the squad.

Tamou = 24 meters....been bent backwards for a month...always picked.

Nofa = same errors all season...always picked.

In case people have not noticed, the only people McGuire drops are the kids. He has not held a 'vet' accountable all season. Not one of them.

These 'leaders' have been there whilst we have been absolutely slaughtered first 30 mins of most games...Tommy's big day, Storm, Parra, Bunnies, all games over and cooked first 30.

The starters can be down 30 and it **will be the young bloke on the bench who cops it.**

We have a coach who has not dropped LL, Nofa, Tamou or Mbye once all season... just pause for a moment and think about that. Then ask yourself if you would respect the coach.

Maguire's statement about finding men really makes no sense when he swings the axe at rookies and leaves underperforming senior players in the squad.

Yes, the rhetoric is beyond a joke.

Big Luc can't tackle...he can't get down low, nor move at pace left to right. Madge says "find your shoulder! I need men who can find their shoulders!"...

But then does not even take from the field a big, overweight, bloke who can't tackle...work that out.

LL should be a bench impact player.

Agree, but we just don’t have better cattle. Over to you Hartigan and Pascoe. Surprise us.

But we do mate...we have players of similar ability who would have a red hot go.

Cooper
Cini
Jake
Tuilagi...

**Pick them all this week and watch the energy rise.**

Pick Nofa, Mbye, Tamou and maybe we jag a win v Broncs and then lose the next four...nothing changes. Hell, at this point, even if the Broncs put 50 on us those vets will be in the team v Manly anyway.

Any genius can drop players replacing them with one's that will do a better job is another story.

Not hard to at least pick a player who will try...you don't think Jake at 17 rather than Mbye, who has mentally tuned out the whole season, would bring energy?

You don't think Kiah Cooper...who is desperate to salvage his career...would bring more energy than Nofaluma?

You don't think Tuilagi...200 meters some weeks in state cup, strong D, and years in the storm system...would add more than Luc and his six missed tackles a week and 10 non contested ones...

I agree with the comments that it takes 50 games before you’re an NRL player and that’s if you have senior guys setting an example.

Cini showed us the inconsistency of youth. We’d all be hammering him if he repeated his second performance.

Favourites … Favourites…Favourites that’s what it’s all about .A coach that is out of ideas , the same individuals selected every week regardless of form .. The biggest cop out is there is no one better .. the good coaches overcome these issues .

I can think what ever I like but I don't have to wear it. We can all have an opinion on anything that may or may not work but making the decisions and being accountable for those is whole different level of responsibility to throwing out an opinion.

Energy rise

More than likely not for long

I see confidence crumbling swamping any brief rise in energy

You dont seem to realise the step from reggies to NRL is a cliff, not a step

I have said this for 2 years, he sprukes accountability, but only applies it to a selective few, and there are still a few rusted on Madge lovers making excuses for him

Yes, but the empirical test says Mbye / Tamou / Nofa / LL are repeatedly failing...that is not opinion. It is fact.

At least the 'thought / opinion' the others would try harder and bring energy is still debatable.

Amone has disappeared...barely given a chance and gone likely end of season. You tell him he is starting and you want the line bent first 20...I guaranteed he'd bring more energy than Tamou.

A good coach coaches to his squad, Madge coaches like it's still 2014 regardless of the squad or how much the game has changed

You can't guarantee anything. We can all throw out possible and probables - it means nothing. Maguire makes his decisions based on a whole lot more information than you or I have access to and ultimately he will live or die by those decisions.

Agreed

Reece Walsh was not ready as far as the Broncos felt and look what he did to us and was selected in the SOO side only to miss due to injury.

I would rather lose on effort and inexperience than by selecting players with history and no effort.
Blore should have started and even if he lasts 10 minutes this will benefit us in the long run.

I have been to most of our games this year and Luc has been extremely poor and lazy because we play him to many minutes.
Noffa has a chip on his shoulder that needs a stint in Reggies to fall off and Mbye should not be in the 17 each week given his lack of effort.

Hopefully Mbye's cards have been marked. Was a poor move to take AD away from the 5/8.

It looks like the forwards have been shuffled again and the use of Blore this season has been criminal.
