What has happened to Sironen

I think he will come good as well. I don't think he has been that bad either however he needs to start having an impact which means busting the line.

Not that bad???

He is a player that cannot catch a ball to save himself. He is a very poor defender. He cannot break the line, or even bend it.

So next year he needs to start in reserve grade, put on some bulk, hit the tackle bags and watch some tapes of Moa? last night and the way he drives into the line in attack.

Then and only then we may see in the NRL in 2016\. Not before.

Yep not an 80 min player…needs to work on his handling and lateral defense in the off-season..

Worth persisting with

I mostly don't see this. He makes some great tackles and can bend the line. I'm starting to think the issue is that he can't handle the big minutes like some on here have suggested.

His hands have been terrible though and that needs to improve a lot.

Still to me he is worth persisting with.

He was a big kid five eight so never really learnt the art of defending. Then he comes into NRL and there are plenty of big men and now he's expected to man up. Well he never did in 20s so why expect him to be any different in the big league? Oh Well when do we head to Perth to become Bennies Billionaire's private plaything?

Thanks for all the name calling over the last 12 months.
I hope you all realise Now that I can obviously see the future. Always said Sironen and Potter were both duds.

Call me if you need me Grant…Call me Call me Now

I dont think the problem is that his only playing NRL because of his name. The bigger issue is he gets scrutinised and criticised heavily only because of his name. His a 20 year old kid coming back from a long injury lay off trying to play in a new position with big minutes (in a struggling side). His looked off the pace this season but im willing to give him the benefit of the doubt based on the potential his showed in lower grades and FG games before this season. He needs a run in state cup to build up some fitness and confidence but can't see that happening with the mounting injury toll. Anyone who says his always been a bad player seriously must have short memories or see what they want to see. I can remember him running great lines in Brooks' debut game last year and even scored an awesome second rower's try off a brooks pass. Enough people have a wrap on him where it counts so i don't think we should give up on him just yet..

He's the most overrated player to come into grade since Matt Groat.

Thats your opinion mate. Good to know your opinion like mine, will mean nothing in regards to his playing future..

Matt groat lol what a below average player !

Bloody harsh crowd. A 20 yr old second rower isn't tearing the NRL apart so he must be a dud!

Fair dinkum. He is a kid! I can only assume a lot of forumers here must be too young to remember his old man. Same traits. Loose hands and gentle giant until he matured, where he went on to become a dominant forward for NSW and Australia.
Much better judges then people on here rate Curtis highly.

The problem with young Siro is he isn't ready. He is learning his trade in the spotlight. He should be in reserve grade learning it there, but injuries aren't allowing it. Once he matures then consistent performances will follow. It takes patience which unfortunately we are all short of at the moment

this is effectively his second full year in FG as part of the top squad. Second year syndrome anyone ?

You have to have a good first yr to have second yr syndrome.

He must of had a good enough year to make the City side. He was no Sonny-Bill Williams but saw enough good things to give him the benefit of the doubt going forward. If he hasn't improved on this season by round 6-7 of next season then your criticism would be warranted. Lets not forget his only 20 years old
