What I know today....Tiger Torch

One of the few rays of sunshine this year is Jac i hope the club has enough brains to keep him here.We lack pace>thanks for the update TT

I think if Taylor and Farah go we will be fine, hang on to JAC and buy players we need not another Ballin, pick teams on form and we should be at the pointy end for a change.
Taylor I think is the biggest obstacle stopping the team moving forward, getting rid of him and have players held accountable and picked in their right positions would be a huge step forward.
Thanks Tiger Torch I love your info, and it generally confirms what most sensible people on the forum believe should happen.

Agree mate with Taylor , with his ineptness and the lack of leadership skills & Farah with his over inflated Ego and stubbornness .
You watch when these two go , players from outside the club will be climbing over each other to sign on the dotted line .

Better days ahead …. Just counting the days

Without a doubt Farah and Taylor are the two stumbling blocks for Wests Tigers 2016\. Farah is costing the club plenty of money in 2016, is well past his prime but stubbornly rejects it. There is a case that on his current form he should be playing State Cup. Taylor on the other hand would not be being paid much money but his ineptness is costing the club plenty this year. With Taylor at the helm future quality recruits and coaches are being scared away by team's ineptness this year.

Rod Griffin leads the offloads in the NSW Cup - this 2nd phase play has all but disappeared from our NRL team - a point noted time and again by assistant coaches! Rod Griffin himself is not the solution

I'd like to see him given a go. He does offload.

It'd be interesting why he isn't considered an option.

Brooks & Moses are now virtually certain to take up 1 year options in their favour to remain at the tigers for 2017; both are now very hesitant about committing beyond 2017 until coaching situation is resolved.

I expected Brooks and Moses to sign with us because no one else will take them. Do those 2 want Taylor gone ?

@Tiger Torch said:
Taylor will depart this year ( 2016) but only if the Tigers can secure Cleary who now has become wary of signing, believing the Warriors may be a better fit.

I can't see Cleary going to the Warriors.

It is well known that we are the worst performing team in the league over the last 16 years - Pascoe is hellbent on eliminating any more 'rebuilding' excuses.

This is the best comment I've heard on this board in ages. I am so sick of hearing about rebuilding.

Let's all pray that the Blues get up this year !

TT also said if the blues lose the first two games he'll be dropped. That means either way it would be his last origin series. Remove that carrot and you'd imagine he leaves the NRL.

I think Farah is still our best playmaker so I don't think he should be in State cup. Taylor has been an absolute dud. In stating that I want both gone but probably Farah more than Taylor.

Maybe Taylor can turn it around but based on how he has gone so far it's unlikely.

to be fair, it's the muckrakers in the media that are perpetuating the story of the players being so hellbent against JT, not the forum.

Milone, Buchanan, Halatau, Lovett, Sironen, Brooks, Moses, Rankin, Aloiai all should love Taylor, all of them should of been dropped to NSW cup on form this year and that is 9 players, depends how you spin it.

At the moment wests-tigers, appear to be a rudder less ship?
They have youth and experience.
Just doesn't seem to merge together and find direction.
Who can fix this, someone very soon I hope.
The season hopes of finishing in an acceptable position, are slowly drifting away.

Bit harsh on Aloiai I reckon 851\. I think the kid is going OK and improving week to week.

I still believe we will all need heavy duty sunnies because soon the tunnel will be split asunder and the stunning glare of success will be too much to take.

My sunnies are ready & waiting mate, thanks again for sharing your insight!

One question, what is likely to happen when Ballin is fit?

Thanks very much for the update Tiger Torch, always good to get some "light" shed on what's happening within the inner sanctum. If the club is smart they will upgrade Addo-Carr and consider letting Hunt/Rankin go at season's end. Koroibete is simply asking too much these days, better to spend $300k over 2 years rather than $600k.

No surprise to hear Halatau is finishing up. Hope the Elijah Taylor deal comes through although I like some of our backrow options coming through NYC such as Bayley Sironen and Esan Marsters. Also keen to hear what the club plans for the likes of JJ Felise, Junior Tatola, Jacob Liddle and Obed Kharwin.

awesome report tiger torch !!! love reading your posts just wish they would happen more often.please get cleary to the club sooner rather then later..thanks again

I Think if the Torch reported more often then the club might work out who the 'leak' is unlike the Bronco's who have a 'mole' in their ranks who hasn't been 'ratted' out yet!, while our team may have it's issues the team at the top has a few white anters & dissenters among Uncle Wayne's close knit bunch

Fantastic post. Truth and facts clear and simple.

Good following questions too.

Let's face it. We are one gun second rower and one gun centre away from a team with the talent to make an impact.

We lack a little balance. Impact centre, hole/line running second rower (Lawrence getting there), work horse back rower.

My comments/ observations:
Rankin is easy to like but not a winger. I do like the fact his game time will pay dividends when Teddy is at SOO.
Simona is a winger.
Siro just can't get rolled so much in the ruck it kills momentum.
Woods is five seconds too long to get his play the ball. Technique issue.
Deano, legend but we he doesn't have the quality and work rate
Lovett, nope.
Kicking game still poor
Enough said about Hooker challenge but I respect Robbie too much to add to it. It about the cap space not Robbie.
Cherrington doesn't act as a foil to our halves due to defence challenges (sorry).

I genuinely think we are close.

Brooks and Moses should be ashamed of themselves not going back to the club and taking market value for next year ie 500k each tops!!

This really needs to be Farah's last year no matter what happens in origin. Hope we keep JAC i think that money is very reasonable considering who's after him and his supposed love for the tigers.

Sounds like Taylor is gone anyway barring a miracle run of wins and elevation up the ladder.

They're kids who could have their careers ended next season with an injury. It's not like they are club legends who have had long and lucrative careers and are already financially secure.
