can u feel the love tonight…

Lol i feel the love…... but atleast you and knuckles batboy etc added some good points not like mania.

He has a mania but im not quite sure on which one yet.pmsl

Anyway i think the best points were from knuckles and batboy that should have ended it.

real deal if you look trippa your the one thats come on here talking it up what do you know you havent added anything to this at all.

GO AND WATCH YOUR 1952 REPLAY....

if you read what you write tiger 4 ever you will see that its you that has issues grasping the title of this thread.Yeah I do have a mania that flares when i come across people that talk too much s***

No i didnt turn it into this you did.

Ive said the whole way through we should merge both teams and make that a powerhouse in the nsw cup but who cares about 2nd grade like knuckles said who remembers it

Ryde Eastwood are the winners. They pay little to field a team in the State Cup as most of it's players are paid for by Wests Tigers which is a company owned 50% by the Wests Group.

Look , All Wests want is Equity. Fairness.

In the only 2 years the Wests Tigers made the Semi Finals, the players were shared fairly between BRET and Wests.

The theory of one state cup team being if greater benefit is unproven.

I feel the real reason is that Balmain & Ryde Eastwood can no longer afford the half a million dollars required and by saving on wages they can survive.

I smell a rat. A big rat.

I feel the benefits of one State Cup side should be evident in the step up made by players within one training and playing structure to fill in to NRL spots for injury

If you want to cast aspersions about the financial state of an organisation and have zero facts to back it up than that merely speaks to your lack of any real argument other than what you think is fair for Wests Magpies. The benefits of one State Cup side are clear to see this year with the ease of transition for players to the NRL when required

100% right so after over 100 years wests magpies get told balmain cant survive on its own too feet and so even though wests are a 50% share holder of the jv a mob called ryde eastwood whove bee around for 2 years wll get all the players.Yeah way to kill a joint venture tigers great work.

2 Years??? ROFLMAO

This argument will continue to be cyclical anf full of innert non truths it seems.

One State Cup side called Wests Tigers. That is all

3 State Cup teams will solve all these issues. One team feeding the Wests Tigers and the other two taking the scraps and making up the numbers. The sooner it happens the better.

Ryde eastwood has been around for ever mania and balmain and wests couldnt survive on their own well with harrys help maybe but who wants to go down that road. You can have 10 clubs and the football club could still go broke look at penrith they are struggling big time even though the leagues clubs are going ok.

Anyway i hope we join our 2nd tier team and make it wests tigers and like you mate i love my old club but we all have to accept the inevitable is going to happen.

Balmain were my first team wests were my second so its sad but look how good we going even if we run 9th its better then what both clubs were going and we now keep all the players we want to keep wests dont get raided anymore.

:astonished: 11 pages to get to this….

bravo smeg..you've convinced me...

I'm elated that I missed this discussion!!!

There is no evening of the ledger required galahs!!!

The fact remains that the Magpies are tinpot amateurs & any single side should be called Wests Tigers!!!

It was going to happen in 2008 -10 as well if it wasn't for the determination of Kevin Hammond not to see the Magpies win another wooden spoon in its Centenary year. All because the Wests Tigers weren't giving us any of their contracted players. He entered discussions with Canberra, they agreed to send us their over age players who weren't needed for NRL duties, Wests Tigers got scared that they were about to lose the junior nursery they claim but don't nurture. So the Wests Tigers backflipped, gave us players and we made the semi finals for 3 years running, Wests are happy again.

Now Kevins gone, Wests Tigers have again done the dirty on the Magpies and now we have gone from a finals side to one looking like we will struggle to make the finals.

Tell me how that's fair!

Western Suburbs Magpies should do the same thing again. Say that they will get players from other NRL squads.

If there is to be one State Cup side, **it's focus must be on Liverpool/MacArthur.**

What does this mean?

Play at cambo in front of 500 people? Train at Cambo…they dont even do that now???

I remember last year we played a lot of games at Leichhardt double headers and the like as Cambelltown was unavailable for what ever reason....hell they even took a 'home' game against BRET to the rectangle

As hard as it may be to swallow fellas the BRET and you Mighty Magpies aren't such a big deal as your making them out to be…
History aside... (Which is exactly that..... HISTORY!!) There wouldn't be ONE KID running around in that region who gives a toss about the Magpies... Or knows anything about any of these "Esteemed Players" BRET have claimed. They all wanna be Wests Tigers... They all wanna be Benji Marshall!!
Balmain and Magpies are a thing of the past... And now despite all thier Former Greatness, They both are nothing but Farmlands for the Mighty Wests Tigers and should be treated as such.
I feel the guys that are passionately clinging onto the remnants of thier former clubs are, Dillusional at best!!
This thread is becoming more about Glorifying the Magpies than anything else.
If Wests Tigers win the Wooden Spoon (Touching wood they won't) And BRET or Wests win the NSW cup... Guess which one will be in the paper. Guess which one will be on the Mind of every fan...
Balmain and Magpies are dead, I'm a BIG state cup fan, And follow BOTH sides as best I can, As I am keen to follow the Boys progress to Firsts.... But that is all it is a stone to firsts., ONE OF MANY!!
But it is such a Meager part of what the Wests Tigers are doing. Finally we are in a position where we have Calibre Reserves, Are attracting Big Name Players to the Club, And are at full cap... Possibly a first?? DEFINATELY a first!!
So as far as Marketing a Brand, Humpa and the Wests Tigers are finally doing something right and hardly need Marketing advice from anyone on here. Out of the Senior Members of The Team, How many are Wests Juniors? Benji-Keebra Park, Robbie-Leichhardt, Gaz-England, Toddy-Raiders, Heigno-Central Coast, Keithy-Sharks?, Possibly Fults and Gibbs are the only 2\. With CL on his way... BUGGER ALL more than are from anywhere else really!!
Cling onto your passion for the Maggies boys, It's inspiring to some extent... As what's best for the Staff and Players of The MIGHTY Wests Tigers??
I think it is in pretty good hands!!!

There's is a time and Place for Honoring the past….
But it is of absolutely no benefit to the Progression of the Wests Tigers
