What if the Magpies were the sole NSw Cup side?

ps: would NRL get an extra 10,000 people to a game???
I very much doubt it!!
The roosters semi springs inevitably to mind…. BIG GAME, CONVENIENT LOCATION...
NOT SOLD OUT!!!

Something like this on the Northern Hill at Leichhardt would be insane and add another dimension to the ground.

I think some fossils would come to life and kill if you touched the main hill !!

I know what you are up to and I am not gonna bite.

I grew up at Leichhardt and love the ground, but…... I noticed for the first time while at the roosters game, it is looking very very old and dated.

Dont mind the look of the new grand stand at all

Leichhardt is very dated. I am not so sure the council would knock back a Northern grandstand as it just barely would back onto Rozelle Psych Hospital and nothing else. If you look at an aerial Google map, there would be minimal if any environmental effects except for the removal of those trees. The Land and Environment Court would pass it I reckon.

It is too much an important ground to the WT to abandon or not to push hard to develop. WT need to develop a working party to ensure the ongoing development of Leichhardt Oval and strategically plan how such developments can be executed.

If at the end of the day, the council can make a quid out of it I am sure it will go a long way to helping a deal come thru. If 10% of profits can be promised to the Greens for example ?? Something !!! Name the grandstand after Harry T and award them the contract to build it. Planning needs to start now otherwise, sadly, the Old Girl's days are well and truly numbered as an NRL venue.

Ok, where is Bug ??

Brand New Main Grand-Stand linking to the end where the old grand stands are, get rid of the wooden seats replace with normal seats
might try it in sketch up

cambo extend main grandstand or even knock down rebuild and link it with the leagues club.

Homebush is RUBBISH!!

What about the revamped show ground arena at Homebush. I believe it is being redeveloped with the field being for AFL but having sat there at the easter show the view wouldn't be too bad for NRL compared to the much larger ANZ stadium next door. The venue has access to the same train, bus facilities, car parking as ANZ but provides a closer view for the fans. Not sure what the new capacity will be though. If it was built around a rectangle NRL field that would have been ideal and possibly a compromise home ground- just a thought.

Used to go to Bulldogs games there. It's an irregular shape. It's crap.

Fair enough, what about doing up Concord then currently it holds as many people as Leichhardt and Campbelltown and is sort of central to both camps??

Concord was used for a game in first grade in 1994\. I was at the game. Panthers vs bulldogs. Alternative to leichhardt. Unsure on corporate facilities though.

No way! It's nowhere near Campbelltown! We can't stop playing games at Campbelltown!
