What is a successful 2026 for the Tiger's

10th or 11th with some key performances like AD, Bula, Pole KPP and Taylan

And another good purchase of a quality forward

For me a successful season has to have two components - on and off field success. If we acheive one and not the other we will still be a pile of poo come this time in 2027.

On field I am looking at results, style and consistency; and off the field culture, alignment, stability, and engagement.

On Field
  • Finish inside the top 8.
  • No losing streak longer than 3 to build consistency.
  • Defeat all of the bottom-half teams and compete with the top-4 sides.
  • Defeat Parramatta and the Dogs.
Off Field
  • A push from JV to united club
  • Pathways plan developed and funding indentified
    • Retention of core talent through proactive contracts.
    • Coach development plan.
KPIs
  • Average 22+ points per game.
    • Effective set completion and quick play-the-ball speed - completion rate mid 80%
  • Hold opponents to under 18 points on average.
    • Strong line speed.
    • Reduced penalties conceded (especially in key field positions).
  • Positive differential (points scored vs points conceded).
  • Club viewed as professional.
  • Media highlighting progress, not off-field drama.

I think the top 8 is a bit of a stretch, its easy to get carried away before the season starts.

It's very rare to find an independant 'expert' having the Tigers in the 8

Going into every game not knowing who is going to win, would be nice.

In the last decade we have gone into games knowing we were not finishing on the winning side.

Luck and injuries play a big part but our depth does look better this year 🤞
