What is your 2017 forecast for us?

If we remain injury free, on the back of 3rd season in with the same coach, same halves and fullback, as well as another year of experience for our forwards, plus stability at a corporate level, then we will definitely be in the mix for the top 4…

On top of that if Moses can improve his kick %, or we are able to sign / promote a decent kicker as well as extend ETs contract and promote Liddle, then there is no reason we can't win the premiership...

Only reason i can see we won't make the finals next year is if we have a really bad run with injuries to our spine...

That's about 10 or 11 "ifs" , if you add about half a dozen more, you may be right on the money, unless …......

By my count there are 3 'ifs' and 2 are on the same topic… Given how negative you are towards the club, it is not surprising that you exaggerate what i have said to support your criticism...

Just to reiterate so you dont get confused by the 10 or 11 'ifs', i have summarised it to 1... If we have an ok run with injuries to our spine and sort out the goalkicking we will make the finals... Simple

Extension :roll lol he has done nothing. If we make the 8 this year then yes but if not bye

And hello.. Who? Cleary? Sounds like a nice way to make the bottom 4.

Can you please explain to me why if Cleary was coach we'd be in the bottom 4?

Can't say we'd definitely be in the bottom 4 but bringing in a new coach with less than a 50% winning strike rate and starting over probably isn't a good start.

You have a habit of making statements that you later backtrack from.

still 2 ifs
If we have an OK run with injuries
If we sort out the Goal kicking
Actually there was six in the first post( it doesn't need the word I'd in front to be an if, but you are right I miscounted, apologies

But the thing is that know one on here has talked about is we lost 6 on the trot when Brooks and Moses started talking about contracts and next year there is them two plus King Teddy and maybe Woodys as well so start looking for a nice glass case to display that Wooden Spoon in if things drag on to long do we get a normal size kitchen one or Extra Big because we are the Tigers and we self sabotage better then anyone in the league well maybe not there is Parra

Taylor will need consistent results (wins) in the first 2 months of 2017…he may have support ATM but a poor start to the season I doubt he will even see out 2017...let alone get an extension...

Then we'll have a NEW coach ..all he will have to do is drop Rankin and Lovett ..we will get a Honeymoon period of a couple of wins...All the I told you so posts..then another 2 months and it will be back to mediocrity..rinse repeat ..sack the Coach...

Wests Tigers Management talk a good game but Unless things actually change It will continue to be a Club where Coaches go to die..

Pearce..Never coached again
Lamb..never coached again
Sheens...never coached again
Potter..highly unlikely to Coach again
Taylor...to be confirmed...

We won't make the top 8 next year.

Next year will be a replica of this year unless there are some very astute signings. Mid table or worse.

Spot-on.. We have got the grunt now.. Can't buy it next year cause whichever way you look at it we have to pay Farah so 2018 is when we should be able to make a move. Sad but that is the reality of what we face

It is interesting when you look at our coaching history… None of our coaches have really been that well regarded when they signed up with us and as you say it ends up being the beginning of the end for them. Even Sheens was off the end of a bad stint at NQ. Maybe we don't have the cash to sign a big name coach, or maybe there aren't that many available... Even some of the names thrown around as a potential replacement for Taylor aren't guaranteed to bring success, just because you do well at one club, doesn't mean you will do well at another... So the club is probably doing the right thing persisting with him, assuming the improvement continues into next year... He will certainly have had every opportunity to develop the team into his own by then...

Who knows, maybe our administration has been the issue all these years and the appointment of Pascoe will be the catalyst to an era of success...

I tend to agree with you. Originally I was going to say it's not worth trying to predict 2017 as long as we don't know if RF will still be at WT. But it really doesn't matter, there's a big black hole there regardless.

Yep. 100% correct. If we sack Taylor it's back to mediocrity.

Or maybe he should be sacked because he is mediocre.

I love these types of comments. The world is falling in. We will never be a good club.

Maybe none of those coaches should coach again. I also thought Sheens was coaching in the ESL. Sheens had a great career. Taylor has been exceptionally lucky with us in relation to his performances and retaining a job. Potter may get another chance and probably was hard done by.

Lamb was terrible. He was at Taylor's level. Pearce probably isn't a coach.
