What should be the punishment

It was a mistake. The nrl should look into the causes and rectify if possible. The underlying bias that led to this decision should be pointed out with a view to helping better decisions in the future.

Yes we all make mistakes. The point is, it seems that the Tigers, and other less fancied teams, always bear the brunt of these mistakes. Let me ask you this: if Cameron Smith was slightly off centre at marker under the same circumstances would he have been penalised? If you cannot answer with a confident ‘yes’ then there is a problem in the game.

I do agree they favour the favorite. The only way to change their perception is to start winning convincingly.

My question is why do the refs favour the favourites? From my experience watching all sorts of competition sports, the most natural inclination of neutral people is to subconsciously favour the underdog in these games so why would the officials continually favour the already successful teams unless there is money involved, either through betting or kickbacks.

We should all be used to this by now as Tigers supporters- this stuff has been going on for decades. Whilst gambling is allowed there will always be fixing and cheating.
Take a look at the week before against the Storm. I thought there was a blatant attempt throughout the game to give the Storm every opportunity - after all it was Billy's 300th, and the NRL wanted him to be a winner.
We are on the losing end when it comes to ref treatment nearly every week - we just have to be good enough that the opposition can't win and last Friday night we simply weren't.
I watched the first half again and we were terrible with the ball and honestly if our guys weren't so tough in D we would have been down by 30.
As much as we fans believe we are entitled we cant really expect the NRL to set that sort of precedent and give us 1 point after playing like that.

Refs involved in Wests Tigers v Broncos match demoted..

Klein to pocket ref..the other numpty to ISP..

What a JOKE the NRL is

Klein got “demoted” as punishment which is:

“Klein has been demoted to an assistant role in Saturday's Sydney Roosters-Warriors game, while Noyen has been axed and will not referee an NRL game this weekend. ”

Warriors 2nd vs Roosters 3rd

NRL fans must have effing idiots tattooed on our foreheads if we accept this so-called punishment

No one expects the NRL or the referees to give us a point - no one expects them to give us anything but a FAIR GO!

Obviously however that is too much to ask.

Klein's punishment is just a reminder to him to be more careful when being unfair next time.

Both should have been fined 10 grand just like the club would have copped for speaking out against garbage refereeing.

Demotion will do nothing if they still take home the same paypacket. They need to change the parameters/controls around the scenario. Change golden point to remove the conversion option from penalties or just axe golden point all together.

It hurts more if that mistake doesn't change a damn thing. Greenberg is weak as!

Maybe they feel there would be less scrutiny on them if favorites win. just guessing though

As much as this leaves a bad taste in the mouth the Club has to take the high ground …it will pay huge dividends in the future . The club does not want to be a Ricky Stewart club that blames the refs and NRL for there losses..the moral high ground is the path to success here.

A win over that weasel moses will ease some of the pain, but there better be a change in how refs treat clubs on the rise in the future and if we miss the eight by a point nasty taste may come flooding back in my mouth.
